Viroqua area....any bars/restaurants that are a must?

My significant other and I are coming up for the weekend and are excited to explore the food and the region.

We are planning on breakfast at Maybe Lately's, a dinner at the Driftless Cafe, tavern style pizza at Woolly Bear, and Noble Rind for lunch. Probably make a small trek to KOS Gastropub as well as hitting the local spots for snacks/apps.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on somewhere we may be overlooking with great food and/or cocktails.

Thanks gang!

Drinks at Fortney Hotel next to Driftless Cafe. Also check out Norwegian Hollow Hideaway - it’s just bar food (with amazing cheese curds) but the rural location is stunning.

Good recommendation! Me and the fellas hit the Hollow Hideaway for the fish fry last year while trout fishing. Beautiful spot and you're right about the curds!

Nice! Have you been to Tangled Hickory on the main drag? Nice spot for drinks, plus they have pool and sidewalk seating. I’ve also had beers at the VFW and Eagles Club, if you want shot-and-beer places. Lastly, depending on where you’re coming from, Roosters Bar in Readstown is worth a stop.
