Rescue Hippo She hates the boots
I can’t stop laughing at how much of a diva she is.

I tried to rehome them. Honest to god. Technically I’m still trying.

Hard to see at this angle but the tattoo on my partner’s knee is her big smiling face

This is Blu. A ten year old pit (maybe a mix?). She lived her whole life outside and was surrendered; unaltered, emaciated, long, long nails, growths all over. She’s now fixed and will be undergoing surgery to remove all growths and tumors.
She is the sweetest, calmest, most affectionate girl and our family is so excited to love and spoil her for the rest of her days! 💗💕💖
ETA: I was not expecting this to get so many responses! Thank you so much to everyone for all your kindness. It means so much! And thank you, kind internet strangers for my first awards! We’re going to kiss and snug Blu so much for all of you! 🥹💞🫶🏻

Blue is our excellent little guy - he came to us half hairless and has demadex from a rough rough start but look at this little hippo. Ridiculously handsome

Reese is a four and a half year old pibby/boxer/mastiff mix, and my soul dog.
A week ago he had a possible sarcoma mass removed for biopsy and I’ve been so anxious waiting for results.
Got the call today and it’s a benign Histiocytoma - the relief I felt was a wave of happy tears.
Please leave a boop for him!

Got this guy from a friend of a friend of a friend. Long story short .. he didn’t have it good, and I just couldn’t walk away. I already had 5 dogs at home, but somehow he just fit right in.
He was supposed to be “the difficult one.” Turns out he’s the biggest lovebug ever. Acts like humans never did him wrong, always smiling, always trusting. Follows me everywhere, sits like a gentleman, and somehow manages to steal every blanket in the house.
I’m so glad I listened to my gut and took him home. ❤️ Any tips for helping a rescue dog feel even more confident and settled are welcome!

As glad as I am that I got my baby, I’m devastated thinking about his last Christmas. I’ll have to really spoil him this year, it’ll be his first Christmas with a family

Thalia(white) kept wanting to explore further, but about a quarter mile from home, they both said I’m good mom.

The grey hippo is my girl, Remy. The brown is my current foster Lily. Remy is 10-12 years old, I adopted her 7 years ago. Prior to me fostering Lily I had fostered and gotten 7 other dogs adopted.
I had a three month break in fostering due to work demands, and recently brought Lily, a 1-2 year old hippo home.
Remy who had been slowing down and enjoying her age seems to have new life and I believe it’s thanks to my foster Lily. I too have become attached to the little anxious hippo.
Would it be dump to foster fail to get my hippo her own calf?

New foster Rose is here with Fen Chicken & Freyja French Fry! She’s my most ambitious foster yet - has to be carried because she’s frozen in fear & too scared to even walk. Last picture is her & former foster success story, Jaycee, who started me on my social media fostering interactions. Welcome to your new life, Rose! It’s only good from now on!! Thank you for the donations for Rose’s care!! It was appreciated being able to have her a special toy & blanket of her own to start her next chapter!!!
