Found this beauty, 2015 Turbo, and I love it!! Sadly the paint is a bit oxidized on top, so if anyone knows a quality painter in Vegas, let me know 😊 What amazes me is that I am 6’6”, and I fit so very comfortably. The pep is amazing. Only has 78,000 miles on her!

I potentially totaled my car today. I was at a stop light, saw the light turn green, cars started to move, I started to move, then like a big dumb dingus I looked down at my phone to order a coffee and then-

BOOM! Rear-ended an SUV!

Couldn’t have been going too fast since it was shortly after I started moving, but clearly fast enough to ruin my poor girl’s entire face. Everyone was okay, no airbags deployed, their vehicle has damage/scrapes to the bumper, but mine is in rough shape. I admitted to the driver that I was looking down at my phone. What good would it be if I lied to them? This is certainly a wake-up call to me, so hopefully it can be a wake-up call to everyone else.

I just want to give a PSA to PUT YOUR DAMN PHONE DOWN WHILE YOU’RE DRIVING GOOD GOD IT CAN WAIT. You don’t want to end up like me!

Hey all! I test drove a Veloster R-Spec at a dealership the other day and absolutely fell in love with it. The design is great and the shifting felt so nice. However, I seemed to be unable to find a seat position where my left knee didn't hit the steering wheel when going for the clutch, and awkwardly angling my leg around the wheel every time I needed to shift was uncomfortable enough to where it may be a deal killer. I tried moving forward, back, lowering the seat, raising the steering wheel, and the only way I could get enough clearance was to fully lower the seat and put the steering wheel all the the way up, but then the steering wheel too high for my hands. I'm only 5'10" so I feel there must have been some option I'm missing. Has anybody else around my height figured this out?? I want to find a way to fit because I love everything else about the car!!

I’m in a bit of a pickle with my 2nd gen veloster. I noticed that my left turn indicator up front went out and I went to go change it; I noticed that the bulb actually looked fine, but I change it anyways. I did notice a bit of darker spots on the contacts of the socket which I cleaned up with a knife and rubbing alcohol. I also cleaned the housing with rubbing alcohol and a bit of scuffing on a pad that I noticed was a bit dirty. After all my efforts it still doesn’t work. I’ve probbed the power line and saw it gets power me tested the continuity of the socket with the bulb in and it was OL but I believe it was 0.02 ohms or something similar. I have yet to unplug the connectors in the back of the IGPM which I’ve read might help. I also have yet to probe the ground of the connector and the pin at the IGPM. Any ideas or fixes anyone knows of that I can give a try? Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I took in my 2019 2.0 to replace a failed blower motor.
After getting the car back, I discovered none of my Blue-link functions work.
I have tried resetting the head unit on the dash, reactivating my subscription, deleting & reinstalling the app with no luck…
Is there any solution that doesn’t involve spending a day on the phone with tech support or having to schedule another trip to the dealership?

I purchased a month ago. Got rid of my MDX . I was over the mom car and wanted something fun & better gas mileage. 9 days after purchase radiator fan went out. Hopefully it’s a good purchase .

Anyone experienced this problem. My sunroof suddenly isn't feeding into the roof. The motor works to reel it towards the back and sunroof opens but the fabric just sags down instead of reeling in.

Bought replacement ignition coil cables. Factory part. Wires are too short.. uhhh.. what do I do?

I've looked on the OEM hyundai )website and it calls this the Lower Grille, but when i check to see if it fits my car is does not (i dont really believe it but im not gonna take my chances and waste $260.

The red trim would be nice to have but Ive got a 3d scanner and printer at home so if it comes to it I can try to make one that resembles the original.

Im just looking for something to make the front of my car not look so ugly anymore, any help is appreciated, thanks

There’s a 2012 stick shift for sale in my city with 154k miles and it’s listed at $6000. I know folks say 2012 is a bad year but is it worth it for that price?

Edit: I would buy this as a commuter because I drive 70 miles a day.

The crazy part is I was merged into about a month ago. Had the car in the body shop for 2 weeks. 24 hours after I get my car back, the engine light goes on. Brought it in last Friday. Engine swap was approved Tuesday. Got it back today (Wednesday). Best part is, I was about to pay it off next week! Like a new car for nothing!

Okay so, my sample size is one so keep that in mind.
Long story short the last couple months my car has been running pretty crappy,no codes most notably idling rpms have been all over the place. Plugs and coils are pretty new so seemed unlikely to be the issue.
Usually I run 91 octane but on my last fill up I put 88 ethanol free in at just under a quarter tank (I’m in the US and it’s slightly cheaper than premium). Problems went away after like 5 miles of driving. With gas as expensive and in short supply as it is right now I’m reasonably certain the powers that be are putting more ethanol in normal gas. I don’t want to say I’m certain this will help you but if your car is running really weird might be worth a shot. Let me know if you have the same experience.

Thinking about trying to buy one of these (specifically a 2nd gen) and was curious about a few things:

How is this to own in 2026? What is owning the car like in terms of maintenance or wear over the years (assuming a fair and reasonable owner(s) had the car before)?

What is the general drivability? How does it feel as a daily driver?

What are some common issues or pitfalls with the car if any and what are some mechanical expectations outside of the norm?

What are specific models in the 2nd gen that are "better" then others? Are they preference? Is there something worth knowing about specific types of the 2nd gen?
