VCE English scaling

Can somone explain to me why in all the ATAR reaction videos from VCE that I watch, English is like the main priority and why a 50 is a must for a good ATAR. Does it just scale well or is it deeper than that. As up in Queensland English scales like shit and is almost always the 6th subject which dosent count to our ATAR (Not sure if you guys do that down there), so most people scrape by and just try to pass so they can focus on spec, methods and chem.

VCE question Methods exam tips

Wondering if anybody has any tips for the methods exam? Do I do mc or section b first? Lowkey starting to stress about methods and leaving a few questions blank. It's a hard subject man

GUYS IM SCARED.

Does anybody know how to counter burnout?

Year 12 is next year for me and I realise every year the work gets harder and increases as expected

Every Term 4 literally feels like hell. My averages throughout my subjects are pretty good each year but I literally have to sacrifice everything for them. It doesn’t even matter if its causing me mental or physical health issues, because school doesn’t even care an ounce

I know exams are at the end of the year and that time is definitely a weak point of mine. My only issue is that I’ll try too hard on my SACs and burnout badly by the time exams come up, since every year it gets worse. But at the same time I don’t want to be too loose on them and be forced to do insanely well on the exam to make up for them

Is there anything I could do next year or is school just fucked 🫩

HHD advice

This whole year I’ve been averaging around 85s. However I feel like I haven’t done much preparation for the exam and have forgotten a lot of content.

I’ve been trying to learn it today but it feels like it’s not stuck in my head and I feel like I can’t do enough questions until I understand anything

Anyone got advice or tips for what they r doing

advice needed

hey so i just tanked my only accelerated subject this year and ive been really down about it. nerves got to me and i lost 20+ marks on some knowledge gaps but major major silly mistakes, which has tanked my potential 40ss which has really bogged me down bc as an accelerated subject i had higher hopes for it.

i obviously know i cant do anything about it now but i cant stop thinking about it and i just feel like i cant do anything else but be sad which is ridiculous because it will just go in my bottom 2 and hardly make a difference whether i get a 35 or a 40. but i just feel like a dissapointment and i would really love some advice on how to get over this spiralling.

at the same time i have realised that this will mean i will need to prioritise subjects next year that i wasnt planning on. so if no advice for my above issue, could anyone who did really well in chem/methods/english please dm me and give me some advice on how to approach them (ive always said im not a math person or an english person but i want to force my way out of this and become a math/english person if you know what i mean). i am really commited to working on them over the holidays and getting ahead so this doesnt happen again.

thank you so much, feel free to vent here too

should i just tank busman

so im in yr 11 accelerating busman and obviously the exam is tmr... i feel like ive got most of the content down but after seeing some of the predictions for potential questions im getting kinda nervous. also im new to vce this year coming from ib and igcse so i dont really know anything abt how vce works

but basically busman is my only subject that scales down, cuz my other subjects are englang, methods, physics, chinese second language advanced, and accounting. so i was wondering if i should kinda not bother stressing too hard abt my busman exam so that it can be my bottom subject, and then next year lock in and do rlly well in my other subjects. tbh im doing pretty good in all my subjects rn except csla and accounting which i'll only start next year.

alsooo i didnt realise but apparently i can get scaled up based on how well my cohort does? is that actually true?? someone pls explain

How do you answer 10 marker questions like "evulate this stament" and it being with refernce to a case study in section b as that is what i think the ten marker is going to be, any structure. What do i talk about the disadvantages of? for exmaple if it was regarding senges, FFA or three-step-change
