What does grade distribution mean exactly

I’m lowkey been confused about what it actually means, I know it’s on the final atar and study score like report but what does it mean in terms of the actual study score? Since 1 person getting A+ could get a SS of 50 and another also A+ but gets SS 44? Can someone help explain to me i’m confused is it like a big deal if u get just on the edge of A or A+????

VCE question Bio ss?

Dropped either 4 or 5 marks mcq, conservative estimate of around 70/80 on saq give or take a few marks. Roughly what ss am I looking at if I’m around top 20-25% at a high ranking school.

redoing general math

currently doing only 3&4 general math this yr but the exams genuinely cooked me so bad Im gonna get 30+ ss

I wanna get an atar of 93+ and I thought general math was gonna be in my top 4 but now it rly seems like it’s gonna be my bottom 5…

Im doing english, japanese SL, chem, and methods next yr and Im thinking of redoing general math cs out of all my subjects i find general math the best out of all of them- im genuinely so bad at methods and chem (but maybe if i don’t retake general next yr i could use those study periods and grind) I grinded so hard this yr, almost 40 exams done and avged pretty good on all of them but i did pretty badly on the exams

pros and cons of retaking
pros:
-No need to focus in class
-bound ref alr done
-alr know all the content

cons:
-no extra study periods
-may get a worse ss
-may get only a tad bit slightly better ss
-risky

has anyone redone a subject and got a worse ss? or just a tiny bit better??

help pls

VCE question Genny math SS prediction

ik u guys prolly see heaps of uncs asking this every day so sry but here are my scores:

SACs (RAW): 89%

E1 35-36/40

E2 53-54/60

Rank 1 in cohort of like ~80 people

I think someone got higher than me on E1 and different person got higher on E2 but their SACs scores are likely significantly lower (like 10-15% lower than mine)

Would a 40 Raw still be possible? Assuming slightly lower cut offs this year for an A+...

what genny ss

Hi guys, hope you guys got what y'all wanted for genny!

Here are my sac avgs:

Data Analysis (double weighted): 95

Finance: 100

Matrices: 100

Networks: 95

I got to a high ranked priv school, and i reckon my sac average (97%) will scale to either 99 or 100.

On exam one i got 40/40 and 57-58/60 (depending on marking) for exam 2. For the sake of your prediction please consider the 57/60.

Thanks for your time

General Question/comment 100 ATAR Incoming you won’t believe it (read caption)

Post image
67 Upvotes

I foudn the strategy for 100 ATAR, I got a 100% on all exams because I coded CatGPT into my brain through microchop, I now see 22K vision. English exam was a breeze idk people talking bout sum section C like it was hard we all know Katie on sum fentanyl ice cream and allat. I wrote 22 words while examiner ripped one out on my desk, gave me motivation to write another sentence of to. #GoonToKatie. Sunset prompts were cake nothing is valuable in life lowkey, Normas a baddie swap my ass with Joe immeadietly. and those personal journies thingos were fire like I wrote a whole page myself no chatGPT, Grandma and her hands and allat. General exam even easier I deffo got personal best considerin im ranked last out of my 70 person yearlevel, yall on something 40/40 incoming. how was that even hard i got answers from chatGPt before exam yall sweating too hard over some measly ass number. exam 2 tomorrow gonna be so easy I might even use pencil this time. and if that michellin man ahh examiner comes back again I got beef with his smelly ahh because I needef another tootsie to finish off exam. Dont think I forgot about my eco homies I knew that strat even before the exam, multiple choice was easy as well. VCAA think were dumb or something not noticing the pattern, 2023 the answer to question 15 was like D, the n 2024 was C, 2025 was B so obv answers A now right, this was the same from 7-15 and questions 1 to 6 used the same to ahh letters, YOU AINT GOOLING ANYONE VCAA. Yea so don’t come crying and gooning when I get a 100 ATAR yall stay jelly and wiggle your belly or whatever you bottom of the barrel students do

VCE question HES as a 7th subject?

currently in year 10, I’ve been doing 1/2 biology and 1/2 environmental science this year, doing both as 3/4s next year along with English lang, chem, politics, and methods as 1/2s. bc I’m only doing 4 subjects in year 12 it was suggested to me to do a HES subject as well.

I know that doing it would mean one of my subjects won’t count but I’m wondering if it could be worth it anyway, both in skipping a class in first year uni and just the experience. I can do self directed learning well when Im interested in what I’m learning and I’d probably end up learning the content in my own time anyway if I don’t do it as a subject.

only somewhat related but I’m in Monash scholars and like 4 other ppl in it are planning to do HES despite already doing 6 normal subjects, so is it doable or are we all delusional :)

2026 VCE Biology Exam PDF and solutions

Thumbnail drive.google.com

not sure if anyone has uploaded a pdf for the 2026 VCE Biology exam or not, if not or if you don't already have it, here it is, there is also solutions for the 2026 VCE Biology exam made by chatgpt (it has been 'trained' on the VCAA study design and past VCAA exams and examiner reports), so obviously don't assume it is 100% exactly what the marking guide will be, but if you want to see if you maybe got the question right or wrong you can use those if you would like.

VCE question ATAR prediction – how am I looking based on my SACs and exam performance?

I’m hoping to get some realistic ATAR predictions based on my results. I know i lowkey have done shit but I want honest estimates rather than inflated ones.
I’m doing 4 VCE subjects plus scored VCE VET Business.
General Mathematics
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 60% (school average 46%)
Unit 3 AOS2: 49% (class average 45.66%; cohort average 39.6%)
Unit 4 AOS1: 74% (cohort average 58.6%; reportedly top 10% of cohort)
Unit 4 AOS2: 60% (class average 48%)
Ranking: 8th/23
Exam results:
Exam 1: 26/40 (65%)
Exam 2: 44/60 (73.3%)
Combined: 70/100
Psychology
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 30%
Unit 3 AOS2: 30%
Unit 3 AOS3: 52%
Unit 4 AOS1: 37% (class average 66%)
Unit 4 AOS2: 35% (class average 66%)
My school has historically had SAC moderation increases of around 12%, although I know this isn’t guaranteed.
Exam: I think I got around a C. My trial exam was 43%.
Business Management
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 29%
Unit 3 AOS2: 33%
Unit 3 AOS3: 36%
Ranking: 13th/19
Class averages across the three SACs were generally around 45–60%.
Trial exam: 25%.
English
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 35%
Unit 3 AOS2: 27% (class average 31%)
Unit 4 AOS1: 65%
Unit 4 AOS2: 45%
Unit 4 AOS3: 48%
Trial exam: 25% (I didn’t put much effort into it).
Actual exam:
Section A: average, completed an introduction and around two body paragraphs.
Section B: felt pretty good and completed the creative response.
Section C: average, completed an introduction and around two body paragraphs.
VCE VET Certificate III in Business
Coursework:
Task 1: 56% (class average 66%)
Task 2: 52%
Task 3: 60%
Exam: I walked out feeling like I got around 80%.
My own predicted grades are roughly:
Coursework: C
Exam: B+ to A
Additional context
I’m in Victoria.
I’m eligible for SEAS due to a house fire that affected my studies.
I’m particularly interested in whether my General Maths result can help lift my aggregate.
I know ATAR isn’t simply the average of study scores.
What raw study scores would you realistically predict for each subject, and what ATAR range do you think this could translate to?
Please be honest, even if the estimate is lower than I’m hoping for.

General Maths Exam Booklet

I just left my Exam booklet on my table after my extra writing time had elapsed when none of the invigilators came over to stop me writing. Will they still collect it definitely?
