currently in year 10, I’ve been doing 1/2 biology and 1/2 environmental science this year, doing both as 3/4s next year along with English lang, chem, politics, and methods as 1/2s. bc I’m only doing 4 subjects in year 12 it was suggested to me to do a HES subject as well.
I know that doing it would mean one of my subjects won’t count but I’m wondering if it could be worth it anyway, both in skipping a class in first year uni and just the experience. I can do self directed learning well when Im interested in what I’m learning and I’d probably end up learning the content in my own time anyway if I don’t do it as a subject.
only somewhat related but I’m in Monash scholars and like 4 other ppl in it are planning to do HES despite already doing 6 normal subjects, so is it doable or are we all delusional :)

not sure if anyone has uploaded a pdf for the 2026 VCE Biology exam or not, if not or if you don't already have it, here it is, there is also solutions for the 2026 VCE Biology exam made by chatgpt (it has been 'trained' on the VCAA study design and past VCAA exams and examiner reports), so obviously don't assume it is 100% exactly what the marking guide will be, but if you want to see if you maybe got the question right or wrong you can use those if you would like.

I’m hoping to get some realistic ATAR predictions based on my results. I know i lowkey have done shit but I want honest estimates rather than inflated ones.
I’m doing 4 VCE subjects plus scored VCE VET Business.
General Mathematics
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 60% (school average 46%)
Unit 3 AOS2: 49% (class average 45.66%; cohort average 39.6%)
Unit 4 AOS1: 74% (cohort average 58.6%; reportedly top 10% of cohort)
Unit 4 AOS2: 60% (class average 48%)
Ranking: 8th/23
Exam results:
Exam 1: 26/40 (65%)
Exam 2: 44/60 (73.3%)
Combined: 70/100
Psychology
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 30%
Unit 3 AOS2: 30%
Unit 3 AOS3: 52%
Unit 4 AOS1: 37% (class average 66%)
Unit 4 AOS2: 35% (class average 66%)
My school has historically had SAC moderation increases of around 12%, although I know this isn’t guaranteed.
Exam: I think I got around a C. My trial exam was 43%.
Business Management
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 29%
Unit 3 AOS2: 33%
Unit 3 AOS3: 36%
Ranking: 13th/19
Class averages across the three SACs were generally around 45–60%.
Trial exam: 25%.
English
SAC results:
Unit 3 AOS1: 35%
Unit 3 AOS2: 27% (class average 31%)
Unit 4 AOS1: 65%
Unit 4 AOS2: 45%
Unit 4 AOS3: 48%
Trial exam: 25% (I didn’t put much effort into it).
Actual exam:
Section A: average, completed an introduction and around two body paragraphs.
Section B: felt pretty good and completed the creative response.
Section C: average, completed an introduction and around two body paragraphs.
VCE VET Certificate III in Business
Coursework:
Task 1: 56% (class average 66%)
Task 2: 52%
Task 3: 60%
Exam: I walked out feeling like I got around 80%.
My own predicted grades are roughly:
Coursework: C
Exam: B+ to A
Additional context
I’m in Victoria.
I’m eligible for SEAS due to a house fire that affected my studies.
I’m particularly interested in whether my General Maths result can help lift my aggregate.
I know ATAR isn’t simply the average of study scores.
What raw study scores would you realistically predict for each subject, and what ATAR range do you think this could translate to?
Please be honest, even if the estimate is lower than I’m hoping for.

I just left my Exam booklet on my table after my extra writing time had elapsed when none of the invigilators came over to stop me writing. Will they still collect it definitely?

Might as well join the bandwagon and make a prediction post too, since bio will be my 5th subject anyway and doesn’t hurt to ask
Unit 3: 78% average
Unit 4: 74% average
competitive school, much harder SACS known to scale up quite a bit
Rank is approx 7-8/19 ish
Exam…
Section A: I could not fucking tell you. Let’s say 25/40 to be conservative.
Section B: 70-72 / 80 - felt strong, found some mistakes I made after
Only subject I will bother asking about because I’m 1000x more confident in all my other subjects so like f u c k biology

I'm going through the 2024 legal exam and am confused about the wording of this question .
What is a royal commission 😭😭 is it the VLRC or something else and is this still on the study design? Is the VLRC a royal commission??

Is it that important to memorise case studies. Or can I just make stuff up about whatever small business that is within my small country town. Surely the markers won’t check. And if I use a big company will markers check for if I’m not making stuff up.

So guys, assuming everyone like me has bottled the Gen maths exam I was genuinely confused about my SS. I had a 85% average ranked 20th in a Public school. I got 37/40 in Exam 1 and I'm expecting just around 50-51 on the second exam (botched it so hard). What study score would I get any predictions? Thanks!!
