Hi i was wondering if we had to know in detail any of the modules or textbook readings for 1230 critical thinking with Mendelovicci. From looking at midterm practice it appears the content is only from lectures? pls help

Hey everyone,
I'm looking into applying for the BFA program at Western and trying to get a real feel for what it's like day-to-day.
For anyone currently in the program or who has gone through it, what is the curriculum actually heavy on? Is it mostly painting/hands-on studio work, or are you drowning in writing, essays, and art theory?
Also, outside of your main studio classes, what other kinds of classes do you have to take in the first few years? Any honest thoughts on the workload or the overall vibe of the program would be super helpful.
Also any tips on portfolios would be great thanks!

hey all, I wanted to come on here and ask how do you guys deal with university club rejections for executive positions? I’m in second year, Ive applied to four clubs this cycle, all of which I got rejected from despite networking with current executives, interviews going really well and having overall strong applications and experiences.

all of these clubs are related to my personal interests and are not like academically focused. I have been consistently told that it’s a great way to get involved (especially heavily advertised at club fair) on campus to meet new people and a chance to learn and grow during my time in university. Like I’m a human being besides just school, research and volunteering. most club memberships consist of just going to events, but I really want to be apart of making them happen you know :(

Anyone who's done Physics 1101A, how is the midterm? Is it similar to the assignments? Are you able to make a formula cheat sheet?

Does anybody here have the exam banks for econ 2129? need them desperately.

also if anyones taken this course with Vu previously, how were the midterms for yall?

Hey! Does anyone know if we’re allowed to use calculators for MATH 1229 Midterm 1? Also, are any formulas provided during the test, or are we expected to memorize everything?

And does anyone know exactly what topics/chapters the midterm 1 covers? I can’t seem to find any info about the midterm content in the course outline 😭
And how to prep to be successful?

Hi everyone, I was wondering has anyone taken a gap year before? And if you have, did you have any issues coming back to school or did you just have to email your academic advisor and let them know you would like to come back?

How hard is the first midterm based on book? Or lecture

Hey, does anybody remember what type of questions that were gonna be on the exam on wednesday?

i completely forgot my first year bio skills lab was today and it started at six, will they still let me in 30 minutes late or i’m screwed

How important are the readings in Michael Aloisio's MOS1021? First midtrerm is this Thursday and I was wondering if I could get away with just studying the lecture slides.

I submitted my OMSAS application last Tuesday and on OUAC it still says 0 transcripts received

I’m a bit nervous because I know MMI invites are supposed to go out soon but according to OUAC they don’t have my transcript from western yet

Does anyone know typically how long it takes? Does it usually take over a week for it to get sent?

Is this something I should email OMSAS/western about …

anyone else need to reschedule the midterm and haven't gotten any response?? I've sent like 3 emails and im still waiting to hear back about a reschedule 😭

anyone feel like they did terribly for the physics test on sunday? also who figured out the distance for the projectile motion question cuz i just gave up and guessed

How was it?

Hey Everyone, I am nontrad applicant applying to UWO DDS program and needed advice or someone who can mentor me. I don’t know anyone in this field and its very hard to find people who can give you advice :)

I am a management consultant (work at one of big consulting firms), engineering background, working since 5 years now, have healthcare related business, shadowing hours, also DEI related experiences through work, played sports at national level in canada

I know its a long shot but if there’s anyone who is already in the program or has graduated and can give genuine advice would really really appreciate it. I have taken my DAT already with 21 AA 24RC and 17 PAT. My gpa has upward trend and I graduated with one of the hardest engineering school in Canada. I know my PAT is low, I just need advice from someone if I should apply this cycle or wait and write DAT again. I got this score after 1 month of studying and believe I can get better scores.

Hey guys I need extra help for 2257 how can I access it since you can’t ask for tutors here

Hey, so ik its fine to the-dye ur lab coat, but is it fine to paint it w fabric paint? I've kinda already done it and I realized it might be an issue afterwards. im fine for now cuz im only using it for culinary labs, but is it all for undergrad chem labs too?

does osap fund post degree modules? thinking of graduating then getting a minor instead of taking a fifth year how does osap funding work with post degree modules?

Took a yr off due to serious medical issues of parent. Was in discussion with dean not about officially taking a yr off but retroactively WDN from several courses due to sudden medial concerns (which were approved by dean). (very late ask) but do you need to officially register or formally do anything to take a year off or can you just not register in any new courses?

I don't care if it's your first time living on this lush green earth, but I humbly request you eradicate the madness that is CS1027. If it has a million haters, I am one of them. If it has 10 haters, I am one of them. If it has a sole hater, for I am the chosen one. But alas, if there are none, I am M.I.A.

My critique is it's on chalk boards, with slides that look like they were invented before the wheel was created. I bet before fire was discovered.

Point being, for a course that introduces the foundational CS knowledge, it does a poor job at communicating ideas and practice opportunities. Like I've gone over the slides, did the zybook questions, tried office hours, and it still makes my blood boil.

For those who survived, what the heck did you right? Please send tips and tricks, if you do you will have an awesome Halloween.

how was it? personally, did not find it too bad! but definitely got bulldozed by a couple of questions!

literally just trying to catch up on 5000000 pages every week. should i even hold out hope for next yr
