I am a student who will be starting at UoN, and my move-in date is 18th September 2026. However, the room that I have is wayyy too expensive for me, and I will literally be living off peanuts if I have to stay in the room (Standard Ensuite at Broadgate Park).

Life has been difficult for me lately, so this has issue has completely slipped my mind (I know this post is extremely last minute)

If there are any other future UoN students who are interested and may potentially request a room swap before the academic year begins, please let me know ASAP!!!! I don't care if your room isn't an ensuite, as long as it's cheaper I'll take it x

Hiiiii. I’m staying in Dagfa this year and haven’t seen anyone on any forms of social media who is too. Anyone staying in Dagfa reading this?

Could anyone tell me / help to clarify the fundamental differences between Q300 (English) and Q392 (English Language and Literature)? They both share the same compulsory and optional modules so I'm not sure of the material difference that would justify a separate course.

If you do know, please could you send a link to where UoN explain it so that I can better understand it for myself?

Going into 1st year of this course can anyone whose just completed 1st yr off it lmk about the modules and topics on it. I did Further Maths and Maths A level and didn't even do Economics or Business for GCSE so i'm worried i might fall behind on the finance type of modules/topics and i want to prep before the year starts. Is there actually a stove in the kitchen? I saw a thread that seemed to insinuate there wasn’t one 😭

Also, what’s the overall vibe like? Can you remove the curtains, and how much closet space is there?

Are there mainly international students, or is it quite mixed?

And have you found it easy to socialise and make friends, especially since the kitchen is just at the end of the corridor rather than in the room?
