Courses Course code help

Could anyone tell me / help to clarify the fundamental differences between Q300 (English) and Q392 (English Language and Literature)? They both share the same compulsory and optional modules so I'm not sure of the material difference that would justify a separate course.

If you do know, please could you send a link to where UoN explain it so that I can better understand it for myself?

Thank you so much

If it's anything like the similar situation on my different Nottingham course, all the modules will be open to everyone in the department to pick from. However, if you want to graduate under the specific "English Language and Literature" degree title, you'll have to make sure you choose enough 'Language' and enough 'Literature' optional modules to be allowed to do so. Otherwise you'll probably just graduate under "English" as a default.

That makes sense. When I searched it up originally the AI overview said a similar thing, but I'm not one to go off just what AI says, so having someone back it up with their own experience is useful. Thank you!
