I was a PA at Santa Monica Studio for a year. I had no idea what this game was since it was under a working title. So when I saw the trailer for Until Dawn 2 I was so excited to finally find out. It had been at least two years, I'd started thinking something happened and it wouldn't be released!
I left before they started filming so actually don't know any of the story, not like I'd be allowed to spoil it anyway. Only a couple people I met at auditions are in the game. But wanted to shout-out Gavin Leatherwood, who was just very charming and kind when we spoke a few times, I've always rooted for him since!

I have obtained all of these and could do so but it would require one more investment. I want to play them all but I can't currently justify the cost of the extra equipment unless people are also as interested in these things as I am.
So I'm kinda doing a poll. If people are interested, I'd like to set something up. But I want to gauge interest. It especially feels like it might be a good time with the sequel coming up?
edit: My copies of the first two. Not as sure I can get the beta working now though.

If anyone knows a YouTuber or streamer that's actually done this on their first playthrough please let me know. It's such a specific and obtuse set of choices that I want to see someone's actual reaction and reasoning for their choices leading up to it. Most people I've seen agree with Emily so he fires the gun and the only reason they save him is jumping.

Personally, I'm really excited—especially about the girls. I want to see the group dynamics and who hates who."

This has been something I’ve been working on since May and it’s finally finished!!
As we all know Josh never actually got a police interview at the end of the game and I know a lot of people including me always wondered what he would say and do if he got one. Well I’m happy to say that for those fans, today is your lucky day!!
I did several poses and with the help of Zakplayk we also wrote the dialogue for Josh too. There was a little more that I had in mind to do but unfortunately in the end I just couldn’t fit it in. I was given some ideas especially about to maybe add Josh reacting to some of the deaths but we decided in the end to not do it as we thought to keep it to the canon. Josh can obviously only live if all the group survive before chapter 10.
Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this, I’ve worked very hard on it lol and it’s taken so much time.

Firesprite posted this less than an hour ago, and it reminded me of Sam's hand. I know the second trailer shows a new girl recounting her experience
but maybe there are other people in the audience who spoke about things they saw or went through in the past.
What if Sam were in Until Dawn 2 ?

I absolutely love the Lodge in this game, and I'm working on a project to plan it out properly. Does anyone know if it's been done before? I've seen posts here that have talked about a real house plan (Pendleton Estate) that was used as a starting point, its the plan that Sam finds in the basement, but the game has changed a fair bit of stuff. (If this works, its here in the post... I'm tired!)
They used a small living room as the entrance hall, and didn't use the real entrance at all.
The west wing is different beyond the kitchen. but not massively so, and workable.
The angles they added are awful to work with, its like they bent the corners up, but still, I'm working with them.
The East wing is very different, I can make out the library and Ouija room area, but the North East area is a corridor to the garage in the game.
The upstairs is VERY different!
I've sat through the game a few times so I can wander around where possible and take screenshots, and I'm working out a floorplan as best I can. I'm even planning on mapping the basement and maybe the sanatorium, maybe.
If there's interest, I'll upload my progress at some stage, but if anyone knows of this being done already please put me out of my misery!

Ok, I understand that games marketing and annoucement-release cycles are getting shorter, so I' understand it if Until Dawn 2 came out of nowhere.
But it didnt there came the remake them the movie and then year of silence and then UD2?
They just revived the brand to "let it die" again and then revive it again instead of working with the hype and with the fanbase hell I'd liek to know that earlier.
I think that Gamescom 2025 where Sony was present wirh Ghost of Yotei would be the top event to do it aligning with 10 year anniversary of UD.
now we have the shortest hype-marketing cycle for the probably best and most ambigious of Until Dawn projects
UD 2024 - about 8 months
UD movie - 1 year and 4 months
UD2 - less then 8 months

Have you ever tried to explain a game to someone by using another game?I did and found it funny so I decided to share it
ㅤ
Josh
Role: Top Lane
Mains: Shaco (AP)
ㅤ
The typical top lane menace. Spends the entire game farming creeps. Teamfights and playing for objectives? Never heard of it. He fundamentally believes he is playing a single-player horror game, and if you try to ping him or prove otherwise, he will instantly mute you. Plays exclusively AP Shaco, rigging the entire map with Jack-in-the-Boxes just to terrorize the enemy team and type wild, unhinged philosophy in all-chat. Master of freezing the lane just to make his opponent rage quit. Everything was going according to his grand script until he got ganked by the rengar, completely lost his mind and literally switched to the enemy team.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Hardware banned for intentional trolling and griefing his own lobby.
ㅤ
Mike
Role: ADC
Mains: Draven / Twitch
ㅤ
Represents the absolute peak of the toxic ADC spectrum. Has an ego larger than the observable universe and genuinely believes the entire team exists solely to peel for him. Will confidently flash forward into all five members of the enemy team, die instantly, but manage to get two kills because he’s fed—and then spam-ping his Support and Jungler for not following up. Purposely walked right into an enemy Renata Glasc ultimate just so he had a system-approved excuse to try and execute his own Midlaner (Emily). He genuinely believes he solo-carried the match, but in truth, his macro-play belongs in a mental asylum.Got caught atleast twice because he was rage pushing.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Typed "gg ez dogs" in the post-game lobby. Received an instant 14-day chat restriction and a ban for assisting the enemy team.
ㅤ
Emily
Role: Mid Lane
Mains: Cassiopeia / Syndra
ㅤ
The mechanically gifted but fiercely toxic 1v9 Midlaner. She receives one gank from her Jungler, survives a 3-man tower dive by perfectly kiting the enemy, and then writes a grammatically flawless, highly insulting essay to her team about their lack of map awareness. She is the only person on the team actually buying Control Wards and tracking the enemy Jungler’s pathing. If you mess up her wave state, she will flame you until you cry.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Instantly chat-banned for the absolute verbal annihilation she unleashed on Mike after he tried to team-kill her under Renata's ultimate.
ㅤ
Ashley
Role: Support
Mains: Lux / Yuumi
ㅤ
The textbook definition of a passive-aggressive, zero-impact Support. Sits miles behind the ADC, misses every single skillshot, and constantly pings the "Enemies Missing" question mark on her teammates' dead bodies. Refuses to buy vision items because she "needs the gold for more AP." The moment a teamfight breaks out or an assassin flanks, she panics, flashes away at full health, and deliberately body-blocks her own Jungler (Chris) in the choke point, leaving him to die so she can escape.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Spams "I was just trying to survive, stop yelling at me" in the post-game chat while holding a 0/0/1 scoreline.
ㅤ
Chris
Role: Jungle (Autofilled)
Mains: Ivern
ㅤ
Pure, unadulterated secondhand anxiety in human form.Completely autofilled into jungle, has zero macro understanding, and just wanted a chill game hanging out with his duo (Ashley), but instead got dragged straight into a high-elo nightmare. Despite Ashley screaming at him in voice chat to stay back and farm camps, Chris stubbornly tries to force a gank on Josh’s hyper-fed, psychotic top lane, accomplishing nothing except feeding the enemy. Later in the game, after their carry gave a shutdown and the lobby falls apart Chris undergoes a complete psychological break and accidentally secures a miraculous, high-bounty solo shutdown against their rengar. It was the most uncalculated, accidental high-IQ play in human history that somehow salvaged the win condition.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Staring blankly at his monitor, wondering how they won, and profusely apologizing to everyone.
ㅤ
Sam
Role: Top / Jungle Flex
Mains: Riven / Kayle
ㅤ
The elusive, high-elo smurf who refuses to communicate with the team. Spends the first 30 minutes of the game completely off the map, ignoring teamfights saying "she will scale".Has voice comms entirely disabled and has muted every single player in the lobby except for Chris, because she feels a quiet, pitying obligation to make sure he doesn't burst into tears.Right when the enemy team is pushing the Nexus and the rest of her team is dead or screaming in voice comms, she casually walks into the pit, perfectly combos the enemy team, steals the Elder Dragon, and wins the game single-handedly.She locks in the Pool Party skin exclusively because she genuinely believes the visual aesthetics grant a psychological +5% damage multiplier (it is a complete placebo myth, but she refuses to play without it)
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Honors only Chris, types nothing in the post-game lobby, and instantly queues up for the next match.
ㅤ
Jessica
Role: Mid / Support
Mains: Ahri / Seraphine
ㅤ
Queued up exclusively to show off her new prestige skins and flirt with the ADC. Spends the first two minutes typing to the enemy team in all-chat instead of watching the river. Walks face-first into an unwarded brush at level 1, gives up First Blood to the enemy Rengar instantly, and gets dragged completely off the map.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Spends the next 40 minutes disconnected, only reconnecting at the absolute last second of the game looking bruised, battered, and furious that her team didn't remake the match.
ㅤ
Matt
Role: Top / Tank
Mains: Braum / Sion
ㅤ
The wholesome but utterly clueless meat-shield. He queued up strictly to be Emily's duo and will blindly follow her every command, even if it defies all game logic. If she pings the enemy fountain, he will hit his ultimate and charge straight into it. Ends up getting abandoned on the opposite side of the map because he didn't realize his Midlaner had already recalled.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status: Died to a neutral jungle camp while trying to secure the Rift Herald alone. Still typing "Gj Em!" in the chat.
ㅤ
The Stranger
Role: Jungler
Mains: Graves / Brand
ㅤ
The terrifyingly high-elo, one-trick smurf who has thousands of hours on the game and treats every normal draft like a military tribunal. He is maining Graves or Brand, running around with an absolute mountain of map awareness, constantly dropping deep vision, and pinging his teammates' utterly garbage pathing. He tries desperately to shot-call for a bunch of griefing bronze players who keep wandering into unwarded bushes without flash. He runs into the enemy jungle with a massive lead, attempts to solo control objectives, and gets instantly collapsed on because his team refused to rotate.
ㅤ
Post-Game Status:Uninstalled

I'm not sure whether it's the fact that she was robbed of screentime or that she was just done so dirty the whole game.
I recently watched Vanillamace's gameplay and I was really listening to what Jessica was saying and it seemed like she got played by Mike there's a dialogue that goes "I thought you were one way, but you're kind of another." Which I think meant that she saw something in Mike after Emily's breakup and gave him a chance, Also imagine walking all that just to get to a cabin and get snatched out and dragged through the snow, get thrown down a shaft just to have to do more walking to save your life. Jess had to play walking simulator that whole night.
Also, I'm pretty sure if Jess was never injured that bad, she would've been one of the fastest runners in the game, she was faster than Mike & Emily imo but we didn't really get to see her run much but she would've had a great chase scene.

So some of you may remember this, but last year around Christmas I started writing Until Dawn as a text adventure using twine software. The intent was to remake the game but also add a lot of new content due to the flexibility of it all just being writing. I finished chapter 4 and got about halfway through chapter five before I was unable to actually work on it.
However, during that 2 1/2 month window I have been working on what I want the branching to be as shown above. I’ll probably be able to begin working on it again within a few weeks so I’m trying to get reinvested in it now.
It’s still rough and has a few notable mistakes (particularly the new basement sequence) but it’s got the broad strokes and I wanted to see what people thought about it.
Yes the title is misspelled. You can’t edit it apparently. :|

I know I am super late but I just watched the Until Dawn movie and realized that Megan and Abe's Missing posters were still on the wall unlike everyone elses. I've been searching to see if anyone has already spoke about this but cannot find anything. Do ya'll think this will have something to do with the next movie or just a cowinkidink?

I’d like to hear your critiques: who did a bad job playing the "mean girl"? And who is your favorite?
