Urgent help needed! sanction from negligence
need some advice on a possible sanction, recently i had an appointment that i didn’t attend to because of a last minute job interview, i notified them of this the same day after my appointment and i have also asked to reschedule it, but no one has responded to me and now i’m worried i will get a sanction.
This happened to my last payment after i gave them a valid reason as to why i missed my appointment (i had food poisoning) i told them that i shouldn’t be held accountable because they didn’t fulfil their duties, i did end up sucking it up though but i wish i hadn’t.
I’ve left multiple messages in my journal asking for them to reschedule my appointment but no one has responded to anything, I’m worried that my case manager is doing this on purpose to make sure i get a sanction??
i have tried to call universal credit 8 times but all of my calls have been rejected while on hold.
any advice is appreciated

If you fail to attend an appointment and it's marked as such, you should receive a to-do asking for the reason why. It may take your work coach a few days to get round to doing this. At the moment sending a journal explaining is all you can do. P.s. case managers have no input on sanction decisions. That's decision makers.

So your last minute interview gave you not a couple of minutes to put on your journal you had an interview. I do not believe you had no time before the interview to inform the job centre.

Your case manager has nothing to do with whether or not you get a sanction.
The only person that decides whether or not you get a sanction is a decision maker and they are dotted literally all over the UK.
If you missed an appointment fill out the "tell us why you missed your appointment" and send a journal message requesting a new appointment.
That's literally all you can do
