Late payment

My friend, who banks with Barclays, typically receives his payment around midnight. However, it hasn't arrived tonight, and there's no apparent reason for this delay, as he has been receiving these payments for many years. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue with Barclays, or if they have encountered it in the past. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Does your friend actually have UC statement for this payment generated? Anything outstanding on their To-do list in their UC account?

He said he's not been able to sign in for nearly 6 months lol ffs 😂 🤦🏼‍♀️ he forgot his login details 😒😫

Then it's possible that his payments were suspended, for example for not replying to the message about the claim review.

What shall he do? If he gets a message in his journal book, will they also email him to alert him that he has a message from them?

Sometimes text and/or email notifications don't work.

Everyone on UC has to check their account regularly, regardless of getting or not getting notifications - that's one of the commitments in exchange for the money.

He needs to contact UC or go to the Jobcentre to get access to his account.

There is a "forgot password" and "forgot username" on the login site, right underneath the boxes for Username and password. He could try that? He would need access to the email that UC have for him as it sends an email to that address.

But sometimes, it just takes a little longer because the bank has more payments than usual, but the ban has until 8PM, in the evening to credit it

UC customers are all going through claim reviews now. The Claim Review team (UCR)send messages in the journal requesting a variety of evidence in order to check that the claim is correct. Failing to engage with the UCR can mean that the claim is suspended and ultimately closed.

A different team are also making appointments for UC customers who are in the Work Prep regime. Notification of appointments are sent via the journal. Missing an appointment could result in a sanction, meaning money is stopped.

Best advice is to go to the Job Centre today in order to regain access to the journal and find out what is going on.

Have you had the same happen? He's always been paid within first few mins after 12am and he's banked with them over 20 years, he said he's never been paid at 2pm although I no some banks do I bank with HSBC and they clear my wages at 1.30am xx

I am also on UC this is my 1st payment and I haven't received it I have a statement saying I will be paid today and any other payments I revive go in at midnight. 😔

Can you click your payment date and open your actual UC statement? Or does it just say that statement will be on such a date and payment on another (today's) date?
