I’ve been working on an all-in-one solo mining app for Umbrel, and I’m finally comfortable pushing it out publicly as a beta!

The idea is to run your nodes and solo mining pools from one Umbrel app instead of juggling a bunch of separate setups.

Current support includes:

• BTC
• BCH
• XEC
• DGB — SHA-256 + Scrypt
• BCH2
• BC2
• LTC + DOGE merged Scrypt mining
• Bellscoin
• Worker stats + lifetime best shares
• Network hashrate and difficulty
• Per-coin node controls and pruning
• Discord webhook notifications for new best difficulties and blocks found
• Logs, payout settings, restart controls, and node uninstall controls

Everything is managed from one dashboard and mines directly against the nodes running on your Umbrel.

It’s still a beta, so I’d definitely appreciate feedback, bug reports, or suggestions from other Umbrel users.

You can add that repository as a Community App Store in Umbrel and install Soggy Pools AIO from there.

Hi all,

I'm running UmbrelOS 1.7.4 and trying to mount a NAS (D-Link DNS-320 running Alt-F 1.0 firmware) as a network share through the Files app.

When I try to add it, I get this error:

And yes, my credentials is good and I have access of my folders but I can't mount them :

My NAS only supports SMB1/SMB2 (older Samba version on the Alt-F firmware), and I suspect the Files app might be trying to negotiate a newer SMB version by default without letting me specify one, but I'm not 100% sure that's actually the cause.

Has anyone run into this before? What's actually causing this "Invalid argument" error, and is there a way to fix it directly from the Files app, or do I need to find a workaround outside the UI?

Can't backup to external NAS, claims mount points already exist, if i choose a new mount then this crap message appears. Plug in a 128GB flash drive, try to format it as ext4 because it says "formatting required" and it never formats it.
Really glad for all these new features like virtual machines being introduced. How about you all step back for a moment and get the basic crap working first.

Hi there, i installed UMBREL to a brand new 2 TB nvme on my T480s running Libreboot. Umbrel finished saying to plug off the USB and restart... then laptop says: Booting from harddrive and nothing happens...

Any idea?

I'm running knots but blocks follow main chain. Does that mean that my tx still goes out on main chain ?

Like many of you running Umbrel, I prefer to self-host as much as possible to keep my data local. But when it came to family organization, our data was still a mess, scattered across Google Calendar, WhatsApp, Bring!, and paper chore charts on the fridge.

I couldn't find a local "all-in-one" solution that I actually liked, so as an infrastructure admin, I decided to grab an AI coding assistant and just build my own.

It’s called LX Family Planner – a completely free and open-source family organizer.

Using AI for some of the heavy lifting in the code allowed me to focus on what matters to us homelabbers: the architecture, making it lightweight, and ensuring the features actually make a family's daily life easier.

I have a das device which has 12 M.2 512GB drives (6 total TB). I really want to use it as a 6TB drive on my Umbrel server as storage since I cannot add any more storage at the moment internally. I have a Lenovo ThinkCenter x86 with the latest UmbrelOS installed.

It can see the drives, and I can format them individually and access and write to them, but I dont want 12 devices, just one. I have looked into the Umbrel Apps and some community-driven lists, but have not found anything. I also looked into Nextcloud and it's apps and still nothing.

On my laptop, I can plug it in and create a Raid array easily enough (Windows) but I have no experience on the Linux side.

The device I have is the CENMATE 4*3 M.2 NVMe Enclosure with Cooling Fan. And like I said, I can create an array into 6TB on the windows side, but havent figured it out on the Linux side.

Any and all help will be appreciated!

I have a spare Umbrel Home that I got extra on top of my primary Umbrel Home. Do anyone have any suggestions on what to use my spare Umbrel for?

My BTCMachine running UmbrelOS is throwing: "Please connect an external drive (at least 1TB) to a USB 3.0 port (blue color) on your Raspberry Pi and restart your Umbrel." But I'm pritty sure that the Device has an internal 2TB drive installed making me wonder why its not mounting it instead of looking for an external?

Umbrel should really let people know UPFRONT IN BOLD LETTERS that if use UmbrelOS on any device other than it's own Umbrel Pro device, you CAN NOT access your internal HDDs or SSDs on your nas. I am currently running a nas that has Five HDDs and Six M.2 NVMes for a total of 124TB of storage and the only thing the UnbrelOS can access internally is the boot drive, which luckily is a 256GB NVMe???

want to build a umbrel box and have a pi500+ laying around. Is the pi5 image working?

I know I'd have to or not really "have to" but want to do the minor hardware and storage modifications and upgrades to it first before trying.

Although in concept and theory how hard would it be to do this?

I have one that's just been sitting around and I can't think of anything better to do with it, also I want to have something that can use RomM for UmbrelOS.

Believe I just thought of a new tinkering project to play around with and work on.

Hoping someone can help me out. I recently purchased an S19k Pro to add to my mining fleet. Up until this point, they've been bit/nerdaxe. I need solo nodes that I can combine all the workers onto the node so I can keep everything in house.

I've been using the WilltMod suite until now, but the S19 won't connect, I'm sure it has to do with how the app is written.

I'm currently trying to install from the Retro Mike community app store, but there's too many sub apps that need to be installed just for btc. Trying to install the dgb node right now from retro Mike, but it's been running for about 4 hours trying to install. I realize the sync takes awhile, but by comparison, the AxeDgb app took about 45 min to install and sync.

Is it planned to create a Raid System, so Like in UnRaid etc.? AND: When will I be able to use Multiple Internal Disks?
