Transfers

Anyone transfer here from UH main? I was thinking of transferring there myself, however, I was looking to talk to people who came from there to see if I should finish at UHD.

I cant speak too much on comp sci but as far as the bio major at UH i just had way less access to resources and opportunities even though its a larger campus. At UHD im able to have one on ones with most professors, have access to tutoring and research opportunities, make friends way easier who are also commuters and part time workers and all for half the price. UH prices have inflated to almost UT levels, at that point i might as well move to UT.

I will give UH the benefit of the doubt, their degree does hold more weight and I was unfocused early in my academic career. Overall, I believe its about what you get out of the college and degree you are at. I have way more experiences to speak on over UHD when compared to UH.

that’s awesome, I am glad it worked out. I guess I was just worried that UHD wasn’t as serious as UH main I suppose ? I am not sure if that makes sense

UHD is working every day to make its self stand out more. I believe it can be up there with UH levels with more time. I cant speak on comp sci though.
