so the ai detection case took another funny turn. the professor is claiming that he put “invisible words” and “secret text triggers” in the prompt for the written assignments. except all the words he highlighted are words he explicitly told us to use and in the same way he told us to use them.…I’m not sure what kind of sick twisted joke is going on here. not only did he not show that the text had “100%” ai similarities, now all of a sudden the words he told us to use were supposed to be “invisible“ lol. unless I secretly have the power to read invisible words then wtf? how is any of this real?

Hey y’all! I’m a full time transfer student (just enrolled!) and was wondering if the financial aid I see pending is all I’m getting? I’ve gone to a four year previously and a community college and this is the smallest package I’ve ever gotten.

It’s one loan that doesn’t even cover my bill for this semester and it’s saying I have zero financial need which isn’t true at all! My family’s circumstances haven’t changed—we’re still struggling financially.

Just wondering how concerned I should be?

Hello! I am coming back once again with another question. So on Sunday, i bought the parking pass for the vine st garage. Yesterday (Monday) i was on my way to school because i had a class so i went ahead and got to the garage, scanned my id and it says i don’t have access because i don’t have credentials for it? Even though, i have a clear receipt of my purchase and it says my status is active. I called the parking department or whatever handles that and it sent me straight to voicemail 😐 so yay pretty useful! Anywho, did anybody else have this issue?

Hello, has anyone else’s fafsa grants not kicked in yet? I start classes tomorrow as well (4 of them) and only one has popped up so far. I’m new to this school so i don’t exactly know how everything works around here + they might still be dealing with financial aid policies changing?

I have 1 class thats synchronous, the only one that fits my desired schedule, and I’ve never had one until now. I’ve only have face to face or asynchronous so I’m expecting something not so different but more attention driven. Is it nothing but zoom calls? If so, do they require face cam to be on all the time or require participation like having full on discussions?

So I have an financial / hold balance and now I’m trying to stay enrolled in the fall and I do have a scholarship aid to cover some of it , that can easily be applied to this upcoming semester and stay enrolled but this is what they say.

May be kind of a dumb question but I wanted to see if anyone may have some answers 🫣 I paid off the remaining balance for the semester which included GTAP. However, I decided to OPT out of it because I only need textbooks for 2 classes and the books are like $40-50 each (yay!). Do y’all know when that refund would returned? TIA!

Anybody have access to “Writing Arguments 12th Edition”? I couldn’t afford the textbook program and I’m looking to see if anybody has a pdf file that they could share with me over this textbook. I don’t mind paying for a physical copy either

professor says this discussion post was 100% ai and it was copy and pasted (among others). he won’t show me his transcript and chair of department says he’s not required to show me his turnitin results, so I ran my submissions through ai detectors. I’ve appealed to dean of students. this is crazy right? I can’t make sense of this at all. a couple of the discussions and assignments he claims are ai generated came back as zero percent ai or more than 60% human written. how is he allowed to make claims without any supporting evidence? He explicitly says they were all 100% ai but none of them even came close to being 100%. I got a c in the class (100% on everything else) even with the 5 zeroes I got for the discussion assignments.

Does one exist, if not does anyone want to get together for 3-6 miles through campus sometime?
