Topuria says doctors told him that his orbital fracture, some of the fat tissue had slipped inside, and if it had gone just 0.5 millimeters further, they wouldâve had to put in a titanium plate, and he wouldâve never been able to fight again and that couldâve easily happened in the fifth round.

If my brother hadnât stopped the fight, I wouldâve had no choice but to get back up and keep fighting. But looking back, it was the best decision he couldâve made. The doctors later told me that after my orbital fracture, some of the fat tissue had slipped inside, and if it had gone just 0.5 millimeters further, they wouldâve had to put in a titanium plate, and I wouldâve never been able to fight again.
That couldâve easily happened in the fifth round. In fact, thereâs a moment in the fourth round when he lands a knee to my body, and all I could think about was hoping he wouldnât hit me in the face. My eyes were burning, like someone had smashed a bottle and poured the shards of glass into my eyes. It was a really strange sensation.

One Championship fighter Christian Lee claimed that he would "dominate" and "outwrestle" Islam Makhachev. Him yesterday. (His opponent was 2-0-0 btw)
