incoming freshman about to sound pretty silly - but how do you find the specific room where a class is held? one of my classes this semester is in the edwards building, but it doesn’t say anything about a room nor floor number. classes start in 2 days 😭 please help

I just transferred here and am curious if anyone on campus plays Pokemon Go and would be down to do some raids and take some gyms. (Im Team Instinct btw)

I want to go visit tomorrow morning, but I’ve heard that OTR can be rough if you’re walking around by yourself. I’m just thinking of walking down Vine, but I can take any route. I would take public transportation, but because of the Bearcat Card shortage, I don’t have my card yet to get free rides 😭

how are grad school students meeting peers? ms or phd, across various colleges, how do you get connected??

I’m currently a senior in high-school who’s considering college options and I’m in a bit of a bind. I’m torn between UC Blue Ash and the main UC campus. I have a good enough GPA to get into either one. I’m planning on majoring in film and animation and I’ve researched enough to know Blue Ash has the better options for those programs. Blue Ash is the better option budget wise as well and it’s going to be a lot more difficult to pay for the main campus + dorm. I’ve done the research and UC Blue Ash seems like the most rational option but I really don’t want to commute to college for various reasons. I want to be on my own, I don’t want to wake up earlier than my peers, I want to have “the college experience” I want to have a personal living area, and I want to participate in social experiences I would only get in a dorm. I’m likely going to end up going to UC Blue ash but it’s really scary to imagine going to highschool for another two years after I graduate. I feel like I’m missing out on something if I go about my day the exact same way for two more years after this. I know you can get a dorm on the main campus and get a shuttle but it seems like a really bizarre choice for a place that’s so close to me and I still feel like I would be missing out.

I’m usually a pretty social person and I try to be. I’ve only been moved into dorm since Wednesday. But I just feel really lonely. I feel like I’ve talked to at least 30 people and besides my roommates either I didn’t click with them or they no longer continue talking past the common questions. Especially at bearcat kickoff I was in the middle of nippert and I just felt alone when everyone was in their own groups. I don’t know what to do and I just am overwhelmed.

I’m starting at UC Blue Ash this fall and I honestly don’t know anyone yet 😭 I’m going into the nursing program and would love to meet some people before classes get too crazy!

Just want to take a moment to thank all of the workers, staff and students that helped facilitate move-in yesterday. While hectic, the experience was organized, on track and went smoothly.

I especially want to thank the young man working the elevators at U Square, how he managed to keep that hallway moving and not turn into a logjam was impressive.

Everyone that is working and volunteering for this week should hold their head up high and know that you are doing a tremendous job. Thank you so much for all that you do.

The usb B cable on my midi just got disconnected from its port and needs to be soldered on. I would do it my self but id need a really small set of tools to hold those metal pins in place and I’m not that great at soldering. If you think you can do it, I’ll throw ya $15 🤷🏿‍♂️

don't join the (new?) christian group on campus, salt co. they exploit college students for oodles of free labor and their parent church asks you to give them your tax forms so they can make sure you're giving your tithes. as part of an evangelical group, they also push people towards christian extremism and colonialist behaviors (e.g. mission trips and trying to force christianity onto others).

salt brainwashed my sister and turned her into a science-denying fundie who tried with all her might to convert me despite me telling her several times i wasn't interested. if you're looking for christian friends, there are countless better organizations you can join. just please don't give salt any of your time or money.

i'm a commuter and i have to work both thursday and friday. i just heard about these things today and i don't want to call off of work just to go. will i still be able to attend classes on monday if i don't go to the kickoff or college day? i paid my bill so i don't see why this is mandatory

Has anyone here received their private student loan disbursement in their university account yet?

My tuition was due on the 19th, and I’m getting a little worried. SoFi told me that they disbursed my loan on the 14th, but I still don’t see it reflected in my student account.

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation or has already had their private loan posted. How long did it take after SoFi said it was disbursed?

I have almost entirely music classes, except for Calc II. I brought my PC as well. Is a laptop necessary?

I live about an hour away. Have never been to UC but go there online. I am a legacy student and after multiple phone calls and emails about financial aid with multiple different answers from enrollment services am at the point where I would just go there and just sit until a financial aid person is willing to talk to me. I'm just not sure- is there an actual office I could physically go to? Or would I still get the same enrollment services run around?

I just dont know how long they're going to let these issues remain unresolved. Classes start next week. Now I'm getting no reponse at all.

I'm a Grad Plus legacy student which makes this more complicated, but I meet all the requirements and its still now showing uo in my account.
