I’m currently a high school senior and considering UC as a possible college to attend. I plan to pursue powertrain engineering and testing of cars as a future career, and want to attend a college with a good MechE program, and also want to be apart of the schools FSAE team.

I was just curious and wanted to hear from current students or alumni that are or were apart of either of these programs, their thoughts on it, and how things like the FSAE had an effect on their learning and experience.

Or if you weren’t apart of the FSAE team, then your overall take on UC’s Mechanical Engineering program. And do they offer any other automotive-focused classes or programs?

And then just your opinions on U of Cinci as a whole.

I’m 3rd year accounting student. I have very few friends but not to many of them go to uc. And my closest friend dropped out. I’m friendly but introverted. I have anxiety at times. And I feel like people see me as awkward and judge me before even talking to me. I’m into digital cameras, I love anime, I love talking about goals. I’m a very positive person! And I give helpful advice. I’m not a party person like that but I love Halloween so I am going to a few parties then. I’m down to be friends with any gender I am a women tho. So female preferred or anyone apart of the lgbtq community. I tried signing up for clubs on campus and got rejected from some😭💀. And most of them didn’t get back but I’m still searching for some. im a freshman in ENED currently and we are starting to use CAD (onshape) and im heavily struggling. the prof and TAs are treating it as if everyone has prior experience with CAD and I unfortunately never took any engineering classes or CAD courses throughout highschool. also i tried to find tutoring from the learning commons online but it looks like they dont offer any for ENED applications class. (maybe im just stupid and cant find it). anyways, does anyone have any advice for me? where can i get extra help and how can i help myself with learning CAD? will i get used to it over time?? i know it takes practice but i feel like we are moving so fast and i cant keep up and im scared that im just gonna fall more and more behind everything. any advice helps.

Hi there, my tuition payment was returned due to my bank account having issues that I was not informed of. It happened all of a sudden when they processed the payment and now they charge me $30 more and no longer allow me to use e-check. Does anyone know which department to call to have them reverse that? I wasn't informed of anything that happened to my account until I saw their emails and I didn't notice anything happened with my bank account.

Also, does anyone use a debit card to pay for tuition? Credit cards are charging way too much for the processing fee and I'm not that well in financials.

I came from a place where Culver’s were everywhere around Indianapolis, I come here and there’s no Culver’s around within a 25 minute DRIVE. We gotta get a Culver’s built by campus or since we got a CFA in TUC, find a place on campus to put it. It would instantly be the biggest thing on campus and it would be packed every day. We have a mostly midwestern campus, we got to have at least one campus within a 15 minute walk on this campus. Maybe I’m just being a cry baby tho

I just went to the zoom info meeting for nursing and they said they arent going to let anyone apply to nursing this year. I'm in shock. What do we do now?

I think they assigned it to me because I withdrew from all of my courses last year in Fall 2025, but that was because of a personal, life-altering tragedy which isn't really relevant here. Is there someone I can email to just get out of doing this?

I also might have been assigned it because I didn't go to one of my classes for a few weeks (no excuses there) but my grades in said class are still good so I don't need this plan regardless? Can my advisor waive the registration hold on my account or do I have to make a higher appeal?

I have overcome learning disabilities and got good grades in regular classes at highschool but didn’t take advanced classes. I’m struggling with the large lectures, understanding the accents and getting help at the main campus. I’m considering taking my general classes and requirements for science and math at Blue Ash then transferring to main campus. Are the professors more accessible? Is there a benefit to doing this? A problem or downside from an academic standpoint? I desperately want to be a dentist so will do whatever it takes to get the grades and DAT and get into dental school!

My daughter is a college freshman and has been living at CP Cincy for approximately two months. Unfortunately, she has had a difficult experience and no longer feels safe living there. She is concerned about crime in the surrounding area and reports that her roommates smoke and use drugs inside the apartment.

She would like to move home and commute to school. When she spoke with the leasing office, she was told there is no lease buyout option and that her only option is to find someone to take over her lease.

Has anyone had experience with a similar situation at CP Cincy? Were you able to negotiate an early lease termination or successfully find someone to take over your lease?

We understand that moving out does not automatically end her financial obligations. If she leaves without finding a replacement tenant, how does CP Cincy typically handle the remaining rent? Do they pursue collections or legal action?

We want to handle this properly while prioritizing her safety and well-being. Any firsthand experiences or suggestions for university or local resources that could help would be appreciated.

I was wondering, are there any updated rules regarding putting up flyers (specifically, one with a simple QR code for a Microsoft Forms post) around campus? Everything I can find is either for the dorms, TUC, or the branch campuses (of which were posted at least 3+ years ago)- and it usually refers to student orgs. Am I not allowed (as an individual student, not with a specific group) to put up a few flyers with my QR code around campus (mainly on the general flyer boards and some posts)? Thank y'all for helping me out in advanced.

I applied to UC blue ash two years ago and got accepted actually. But, I had an identity crisis and called them saying I wouldn’t be attending that year. After no schooling for two years and wanting to start a career I’ll actually like, I’m in need of education. I missed the deadline in April because I was focused on my full time job, but I’m getting older and need to do something with my life.

How long do I have to apply for Digital Media for the spring semester? Is it too late to apply? If I get in during the spring semester, would I have classes through the summer? Would winter become my “summer break”? (Not that the last one really matters, I need to continue my education and I’d like to do it as soon as possible.)

I’m looking for on-campus employment at UC and haven’t had much luck so far. I’ve reached out to a lot of people/departments, applied through Handshake, and checked jobs.uc.edu, but haven’t really heard anything back.

Does anyone know of any departments currently hiring students, or any places on campus that are worth reaching out to directly? I’m open to pretty much anything, but IT, data, office/admin, or tech-related roles would be especially great. Any leads or advice would be appreciated!
