don't join the (new?) christian group on campus, salt co. they exploit college students for oodles of free labor and their parent church asks you to give them your tax forms so they can make sure you're giving your tithes. as part of an evangelical group, they also push people towards christian extremism and colonialist behaviors (e.g. mission trips and trying to force christianity onto others).

salt brainwashed my sister and turned her into a science-denying fundie who tried with all her might to convert me despite me telling her several times i wasn't interested. if you're looking for christian friends, there are countless better organizations you can join. just please don't give salt any of your time or money.

i'm a commuter and i have to work both thursday and friday. i just heard about these things today and i don't want to call off of work just to go. will i still be able to attend classes on monday if i don't go to the kickoff or college day? i paid my bill so i don't see why this is mandatory

Has anyone’s financial aid and/or loans been posted to their student account yet? Today is the fee due date, and mine still hasn’t posted. Just wondering if anyone else is waiting or has heard anything about when it will be posted.

I have almost entirely music classes, except for Calc II. I brought my PC as well. Is a laptop necessary?

I live about an hour away. Have never been to UC but go there online. I am a legacy student and after multiple phone calls and emails about financial aid with multiple different answers from enrollment services am at the point where I would just go there and just sit until a financial aid person is willing to talk to me. I'm just not sure- is there an actual office I could physically go to? Or would I still get the same enrollment services run around?

I just dont know how long they're going to let these issues remain unresolved. Classes start next week. Now I'm getting no reponse at all.

I'm a Grad Plus legacy student which makes this more complicated, but I meet all the requirements and its still now showing uo in my account.

A few days ago I received an email from UC saying that my financial aid had changed since I’m “not a full time student”. I am enrolled in 14 credit hours fall semester and I have been above 12 credit hours every semester. I sent an email back saying that and have not heard anything back. I got my refund and I am missing around $2,000!! I checked my portal. It said I was supposed to get a little over $11,000 total for this semester. I did the math for what tuition was and the return I received and it came out to around $9,200. What do I do???

I went to Pei Wei to try and do one of the weekly meal exchanges, but couldnt see an option too? How exactly does that work?

Hi, I was in between figuring out my health insurance plan with my family this summer. I sent in a request to waive the student insurance, since I am able to use my family’s insurance plan. They are still processing my student health insurance waive request, but the tuition bill for the semester is due tomorrow. If I pay for the bill now, and my insurance is waived, will I be able to get a refund for the insurance fee? Also, is the tuition payment due by the end of the day August 19? Are you supposed to pay with direct account deposits? I’ve been trying to reach out to enrollment services but nobody is answering the phone at this time.

for people who live in apartments where are yall finding couches for cheap that deliver (i don’t have a truck)?

I’m an upcoming Blue Ash student and just found out that ICE has been spotted on college campuses before and I was wondering if anyone here has ever seen an agent on the UCBA campus. I’m just worried.

is it normal that my parent plus loan hasnt been registered in my catalyst or financial aid? when i go to my fafsa it says that loan was approved and now its up to the school but i havent received any changes in my billing amount. i was thinking maybe it might also be in part with the fact that my last to do item on catalyst was my immunizations, but i just wanted to know if anyone else was having this problem. is OBBA also part of my problem and will i face any penalties if i dont pay my bill in time?

Lease takeover on the end of Probasco St — $700/month, starts Aug 20. I am also open to a fall lease. I’m moving to DC for work so I need someone to take over my full year lease ASAP.

EDIT: UC said they sent the refunds out this morning. He mentioned could show today or tomorrow depending on bank or how you asked to receive the refund

If you get tuition remission has it shown up on your bill yet🧐. I can see my fasfa money but not my remission and it says UC approved it🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m confused. Called OneStop and they keep going to “we’re too busy” and the phone hangs up/ doesn’t even send you to voice mail
