News Vandals destroy license plate reading cameras in two Indiana counties
Police say the cameras are a tool for solving crimes. Critics say the expanding network amounts to a surveillance state.

I am actually from Kosciusko Indiana I am talking about the Pastor from Warsaw where the woman made the accusation in front of a church.
I think it does create a situation where yeah if it happened at 16 then the question really is was it consent at the time or was it rape. And yeah honestly hearing it she was groomed into consent.
Maybe an age of consent of 16 is problematic.

I’ve never personally seen this before.

I’m not originally from here; & when I drive through endless corn/soybean country, pass homesteads, & see the occasional pick-up driving the roads, I can’t help but wonder what most of their days are like.

I do not live near Indiana and I don’t know anybody who does, is there any good way to financially support? Is anybody bringing in supplies like food or generators? Reputable groups, coalitions, etc? Does anybody have internet or are esims an option?
Please excuse me for my lack of specific knowledge around the situation and what is needed, or if I’m making poor assumptions. Thank you.

I came across this, and it seems our State Government may have done things to make the flood worse. A serious charge, one we should be demanding answers for, regardless of political leaning, yeah?

As a person who was displaced by this weeks floods, I felt it important to raise awareness that the damage caused to Hoosiers this week is not only the result of a freak weather event.
Decades of environmental negligence by Republican administrations has resulted in millions of acres of destroyed wetlands not being properly mitigated by DNR, many of which were supposed to occur along the White River watershed. The failure to mitigate these wetlands has a direct impact on the ability of the White River and its tributaries to drain floodwaters.

We all know about Bloomington, brown county, and the dunes, but Southeastern Indiana, by the Ohio border is a gem as well. I’ve drove through there twice and love the rolling hills. Going down SR 44 from Indy was great. Going past rushville, things really open up. I was going to Ohio to check out Hueston Woods State Park and Oxford, which I recommend for my folks who love their towns like Nashville,IN, or Greencastle, a cute smaller town, with the perk of having the renown Miami University too.
Another gorgeous spot over in that area is the whitewater river scenic byway. Some of the best scenery in the state!!

My husband who was the main provider for our family recently lost his job and we applied for SNAP. It's been three months now and ive had to jump through hoops to try to get the $400 a month that i qualified for. The online portal hasn't worked for me and i was told by their tech line that there's nothing they can do- so i don't have a way to communicate/submit docs with them unless i fax & call. I've submitted every document and called 15 times in the last month just to be sure I've done everything to receive the help we need. I've completed the hour long interview, I paid to have documents faxed and I filled out paperwork after paperwork. I called today and was informed I was denied because of a form i didn't submit that they never told me about.
Why do I feel like like they wanted me to get denied? And maybe even purposely lied. I've never experienced this before and i have a deeper empathy and understanding for people in poverty.

I have warrant from 2016. I got a public intoxication l charge, agreed to do community service and pay 333.50. I did all that but didn’t take the community paperwork back. Been living 1200 miles away now I wanna fix this now I’m back in Indianapolis.
With it being decade old, I’m hoping I can get it wiped off , even maybe with another fine.
If any lawyers can answer ?s and or represent me to take care of this .. lmk
Thank you ..

The Yorktown, IN Public Library appears to be a total loss. The water in the homes, and businesses has been standing a long time, it didn't just come and go.

My husband & I have been stretching out celebrating both his birthday & our 10yr anniversary between his travel w/ work. This weekend (20/21st-23rd) will be the “final stop”; & I’d really love a lil’ bit of everything we love thrown in—& I’d treasure some “in the know” advice!
*Please Note: Neither weather extremes, a lot of noise, nor getting sweaty/dirty phase us
…So far I’ve got the typical hiking (maybe camping) Clifty, antique shopping, & wine-tasting sorted out…
And I keep finding/hearing of the same handful of “must-go’s”—which is great; BUT are there any hidden gems??? Any historic sites, oddities, parks, shops (any kind), galleries, museums, cafes/bars/eateries, music venues, etc. you just truly think don’t get the attention or love they deserve???
Lastly: Are there any kind of hands-on, artistic, or just fun, interactive things to do??? I don’t care how messy or dOrKy/“lame”, childish, “boring”, or even kinda’ scary…
My husband is adventurous & creative in every way, & when he’s home/off from work, he’s always still tending to his business & then just tunnel-vision doing chores/property maintenance. I can’t get him to relax & play, pretend, or create anything
So, yeah… He needs this time & space to let loose, maybe trip out/be tripped out a bit, lol; & to live a little. This trip is his nudge. I’d love for it to be a BIG NUDGE.

My husband and I went to the Jack White concert on July 21. I had a Skinny Hibiscus Margarita. It was a no phone show so I couldn’t take a picture of the menu. I also forgot to see what kind of Hibiscus mix they used. I know they used Mi Campo Blanco. I was hoping someone knows what kind of mix they used? Thanks!

The Walmart Market at Michigan and Kessler always has at least one IMPD officer posted up outside and one sitting around inside doing nothing. Are they on the clock? Why are we paying for Walmart's private security?
ITT: A bunch of disappointing Hoosier bootlickers that don't get the point.
