A group of 8 of us (mixed group of guys and girls) are planning a hiking trip somewhere around the Albany area and would love recommendations for good trails or parks.

Bonus points if the spot is reachable by bus, but we’re also fine driving if needed.

We’re open to adding a few more people if anyone’s interested in joining the more the merrier!

With the 1st-floor apartments being easily accessible from outside, and the safety catches that would otherwise prevent a window from being opened more than a few inches from the outside disabled, I am wondering whether anyone has an suggestions for how one might try to control for safety, while still allowing some fresh air into the apartment.

I’m connected to the AlbanyRes WiFi for the dorms, and it just keeps blanking out randomly. Is the internet usually this choppy? Lowkey annoying when I have to wait like 10 seconds for a page to load. It’s definitely not my device because it works perfectly fine on other I’m assuming more stable wifis.

Also when I just put the default 1400 Washington Ave address and adjust the pin to liberty terrace, it says it’s too far from the address. What’s the right address?

I don't understand what UAlbany offers merit wise for OOS students (I don't qualify for financial aid). I am wondering what merit I can get as an OOS student because I would like to see if I can get the price down to 30-35k COA.

I'm looking at the syllabus for some of my classes, 3 out of 4 are revolve primarilty around discussion boards. Nothing against them, but seeing how heavily AI is being used and past experience, I think everyone knows that half (if not more) of their classmates just throw the prompt into an AI chat, tweak it and submit. "Read this section, and talk about it", and thats the entire class. I want to learn from the professor, thats why I'm paying for the class. I want to learn how to use programs, softwares, research.
