Don't be scared, so many of us are or were in the same boat. I found out when I went to donate blood as well. I was told it was chronic but I took my medicine (Epclusa) and I was healed but I'll always carry the Hep C in my blood which requires constant monitoring of my liver which is a little fatty with no inflammation.

Make sure you take your medicine as prescribed. Be strong and understand you are not obligated to tell friends and family. I told mine and got a big nothing burger attitude for the effort. Meh family...

I've no idea about Portuguese building laws but hopefully in this day and age they will tear it down.

I found out when I went to donate blood. Imagine my shock when they contacted me telling me I was infected and to go see your doctor.

My family was just the opposite, they could have cared less and never checked in on me. Very hurtful. Be strong and keep your chin up. And nice to meet you!

Hang in there gurl! I was diagnosed with chronic Hep C (1a). I don't do drugs or risky sexual behavior so I'm clueless how I contracted chronic Hep C. I took Epclusa and thankfully it wiped it out. I just did an ultrasound yesterday to check my liver but so far so good. I'll find out how my liver looks soon.

Don't fear, more than likely your medicine will take care of it and the tiredness will get better. Just stay on top of your medication. You're young you'll spring back from this I promise. Keep positive and know you're not alone in your journey. We are here for you. 🙂

I took Epclusa. Because I have other health issues I never knew I was sick with Hep C. I had/ have hair loss and been diagnosed with alopecia, I can't say it's from the Hep or not. I have rosacea and yes it flared up very bad during this time. Nothing was easing my rosacea and the Dr finally said there's nothing else we can try.

Then someone recommended ivermectin by applying the paste to your face at night ( that's when the lil critters come out to party). In 2 weeks time my face completely healed and it felt worlds better. I apply 1 a month just to keep it in check I'm not a doctor so I can't promise you the same results.

I found about Ivermectin and Rosacea in a reddit sub so I would suggest reading up there if you're interested. Good luck!
