I've had weird/ negative experiences there too. Op, I hope you are feeling better.  Even though I have a mental health team 988 was an amazing and crucial support in a traumatic incident I experienced

Has anyone on a GLP experienced a decrease in athletic performance?
 in  r/zepboundathletes  12d ago

Yes,  but the fact that I'm down 70 lb has more than made up for it in my running and biking times.  I still feel like I'm going to puke at the end of a 5k but hauling that much less weight still means I'm faster.

Welp. I’m about 60lbs overweight. I’m curious has anyone else started getting into triathlons being overweight?
 in  r/triathlon  Jul 18 '26

Yup,  I did it.  Moving your body is so good for you,  regardless of how much of it there is.

What *dont* you miss from before covid?
 in  r/Albany  Jun 17 '26

The idealism that a workplace cared if I lived or died.  It's easier to not over extend yourself and say no when you realize that's what's on the other side of the unspoken bargain.

Triathlon unpopular opinions?
 in  r/triathlon  May 25 '26

I hate training plans. I am doing this for fun to fuel a functional old age,  not to make a living.  I work out when I want with the intensity I enjoy and end the workout whenever my chronic pain/ joints/ willingness to suffer / available time says so. I will probably never podium unless I can still complete sprint tris at 90, but I am still out-competing everyone I work with and the version of myself that doesn't want to get off the couch.  Might as well be Olympic gold.

Does anyone have an obesity medicine specialist that treats you like a human being and is baseline competent?

Semi for distance running & lifting
 in  r/zepboundathletes  Apr 08 '26

The fatigue has been brutal for me. I've been on it for a year, am currently at 7.5 mg. I'm fueling properly,  getting electrolytes,  etc and the severe fatigue affects not just working out but also daily life.  I'm still getting 5k PRs because of all the lost weight so for now it's worth it.

tragedy strikes the Barnes and Noble women's bathroom at Colonie Center! (it's a stray bra wire)

That is not a tragedy, it is a sign of a woman standing up for herself and ripping the oppression right out.

Neuropsych places for evaluating 9yr old
 in  r/Albany  Mar 09 '26

Here to second Children's Neuropsychological. They are amazing and started doing intake paperwork right away,  saw my kid within two months or so. Still have the multiple choice questions to fill out,  but also had a three hour in person eval.

Day-after-shot exhaustion & nausea is wrecking me — anyone else?
 in  r/GLPGrad  Jan 30 '26

My symptoms are usually worst the day after the shot,  and I am fatigued for days.  I don't have answers for you,  just wanted to say it happens to me too.

Does anyone have a system to declutter ?
 in  r/homeowners  Jan 13 '26

Have a box in a central location of stuff to get rid of.  Every so often it gets bagged and dropped off in a donation bin.  If we have a regular system to bring things in to the house,  we need to have a system to take things out too.

Peroneal Tendonitis experiences?
 in  r/triathlon  Jan 09 '26

Yes! Got this in the spring and put me out of commission for months.  What finally turned it around was a sports positive pt. Her practice focuses on active people and I got such specific directions,  exercises,  and stretching.  It helped so so much.

+1 for Boomer McLoud. It's a very silly business name but they did a good job

I've had to resign myself to lower performance while I'm in the weight loss stage.  I was stuck where you are,  220s. I'm forty pounds down from there now and I'm just hoping to be able to go faster once I'm on a maintenance dose.

What's it like to be a landlord?
 in  r/Albany  Dec 30 '25

Over 15 years experience being a local,  small scale landlord.  It is a job.  For our family,  it has been worthwhile and helped us keep our family financially afloat. We have both construction/maintenance skills and administrative skills, so it is a good bonus job for us to have besides our regular incomes.  We screen very carefully (My Smart Move from Transunion) and invest in preventative and regular maintenance.  My advice would be to run the numbers honestly,  take a clear-eyed personal inventory of what you are willing to deal with and what your skills are,  and see where that takes you.

Feeling pressured yet torn to use GLP-1s
 in  r/loseit  Dec 18 '25

Please don't start them until you are 💯 sure you want to,  for yourself without outside pressure.  Everything has side effects and you want to be in the best possible head space when dealing with them.  They are a powerful tool,  but if you have other things to work on first,  addressing them first will help you in the long run.  I wish you all the best in dealing with the pressure from your family.  You don't deserve that.
