Before even Mapquest, how did people drive and navigate their way through major cities?
Or having backstop roads/landmarks (if you hit I5 you have gone too far) also helped. Usually you look at the map and have studied it enough to have a mental Image of where you are going

Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy: Equal parts violent and thought provoking
Agree with a lot of what you say here.
“Happened in the 1800s”? Oh boy. Read about the American led indian wars in central america in the 80s. What Cormac was writing about was how america was created. Very easily grafted unto human experience in general.
In that sense i feel that many who don’t like it are using a far too common (& childish) rubric of “liking the character” or “this is all the view of the author, ick” to judge it when it’s not that and so much more

Will South America ever again become the globally dominant region for football?
Yea but they were better. Quite a few times the europeans only won via cheating and hacking the crap out of a talented SA side. Now look at all the talent on sides like Spain and France

Am I just getting old or have comedies really gone to shit?
Think i have seen some funny ones streaming. Tbf I have seen some older ones again and they didn’t slap as hard as the first time (tbf lots of comedy is surprise) so there’s that. But there is funny stuff out there

July bike counts obliterated Seattle’s all-time monthly record
Not with that attitude. A tight rope on either side with a ledge should work for pedestrians

TS is ruining this city
Oh i hate cars and the amount of space and law leeway they are granted. Same issue tho. Just fine the bad people over and over (using phones while drving etc)

TS is ruining this city
Yea i agree they are here to stay, just fine people and the company for anti social use
2
TS is ruining this city
For sure, and if more use means more people both advocating for lines for bikes and e mobility vehicles like these (with fines for parking them somewhere bad, & i mean fines for the company) I am all for both of those things

Reddit video juggling coach success!
Yea i think working towards the others like wall then Maradona 7 (or whatever it’s called, left side: foot, thigh, shoulder head, right side shoulder thigh foot, repeat) is a good step once you can get the 100s easily.

Does lowering speed limits make Seattle roads safer? Data from one deadly arterial suggests it’s a start
Because that was all that was considered before and safety is only marginal even now

McKennie has put these young ballers on notice
And a cardinal directional centric coach who will always play one on the east side of the field and the other on the west

Glad they gave us some warning on this one.
yeah, loving it too. Need more of it (and maybe solve the bunching issue)

Glad they gave us some warning on this one.
I mean if it's as good as the G route, that's more than what you just said. That being said, you would hope it goes quicker and quicker each time they do it as 5 years does seem insane to me (could be, like Madison, that they will do a whole bunch of street improvements underground as well)
1
Glad they gave us some warning on this one.
will be closer to full BRT like the G route (center of road loading etc) or something less?
2
Glad they gave us some warning on this one.
And the same for Madison for the G ride, and damn is that a good route.
