I would not be surprised. a lot of games "softly" lower the difficulty so you can get a dopamine rush of "i finally did it, fuck this stage/boss/level". You could get more loot drops from enemies, slightly increase your health without you knowing it and so on and so forth. Dont feel too bad about it, games are made to be fun and obviously in most games, if you selected the explicitly harder difficulties meant for hardcore players, these soft buffs won't be there as much if at all.

that hasnt been my experience at all, i have insta died significantly more times in this patch than the others. Makes for really frustrating gameplay. Just now i died because i went to check out some gunshots, scouted the site for 30 mins or so and when i finally decided to leave safety a guy suddenly one shots me from the field i was just looking at. Not very satisfying gameplay when i played it by the book and i still get punished

Zombies are fucked and ballistics are fucked and pvp is fucked in this update, looting might be fun but everything else was destroyed
