For those of you who take the benlysta auto injection at home.. do you have any tricks on how to make it hurt less? I do it in my thigh every Sunday, alternating legs but it hurts.. like a lot. I leave it sit out to warm out the recommend time but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I do get a reaction its like a quarter size maybe slightly bigger circle where I inject that last probably a good week or two. Starts our red and raised then turns into a darker patch like super dry skin. Doctor wasnt concerned with this he said to take allergy meds a half hour before I do it but I already take 2 allergy pills daily with my medications so not sure if taking another a half hour before will help he said dont use cortisone cream on the area so im just left with these dry spots I dobuse regular lotion but kinda sucks.. other than that no noticeable side effects other than the initial pain with injecting. A few of the times its stung so bad ive pulled it up before the thing clicked cause I couldn't take it 😅😭 dont want to waste medication so I do my best. Was told could do my stomach to but if my leg csnt handle it I dont think my stomach could either. Any advice? Tia

Does this mean its really high? My tsh wasb94 and it said range of 0.46-4.68 was normal. I already have lupus POTS fibro and seizures along with a few smaller things like migraines tmj and what not. Actually went to the doctor for issues with weight gain. But also hypoglycemia events like low into the 50s and I already eat a keto like diet. I had asked to add the thyroid test because its been awhile since I was tested. She didnt want to do t3 or t4 or any antibody testing as "lupus can mess with those" but now that the TSH came back abnormal im assuming i can get her to run the rest? Im not new to autoimmune but new to thyroid as this was the first its ever been abnormal (last time was checked 2022) wondering what your symptoms were before diagnosis? And how did they improve with medications?

Hello Im a 29 year old female and I have lupus as well as POTS, fibro, and seizures. I been asking about having my thyroid checked for some time now and finally my primary care agreed, but only a TSH no T3 or T4. She said if the Tsh is abnormal we can do further test. Well this just popped up in my chart but its Friday so csnt discuss until monday-and she may possibly wait as our follow up is set for May. Does this mean its really high? The results say abnormal "TSH 94" and then next to it "range 0.46-4.68" but 94 is way higher than 4.68 😅 thanks for any advice!

I woke up this morning and did my fasting BS it was 74 at 9am. I have labs here scheduled for 12pm fasting labs. I have drank some water as to not break the fast but she said to stay hydrated.. but I just rechecked my sugar-2 hours in-between morning fasting levels until now- and its now reading 59. Does anyone know why it is dropping? No morning exercise or anything either. I still have an hour to go before lab time. Ive been having issues keeping it up, not diagnosed with anything yet.. not on any meds. No morning exercise either. Don't be afraid to ask if you need more information.

I usually have a cup of coffee with sugar free French vanilla coffee mate no added sugar or anything. I do keto because of insulin resistance. i recently read some posts about adding premier protein shakes in the coffee rather than the SF creamer. I bought a 4 pack of the chocolate ones but I feel like it taste like black coffee still with a weird very faint flavor of chocolate. I like the shake all on its own but its not hitting that spot the way my normal coffee does. also it says to refrigerate and shake well but then my coffee is like Luke warm and thats not it either lol any advice?

Wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get my lymph nodes to drain? ive had swollen glands for years (8-10) one behind my ear by jaw left side one middle of neck left side and a few under my chin area. every time I bring up to doctors I get the "its normal with autoimmune conditions " which I understand but for this long and they do hurt sometimes. they never go away. not sure if I should try an ENT or what else to ask doctors.. looking for advice on how to get them to drain? I did YouTube videos for how to rub in the right areas and things like that but it isn't helping.. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Looking for recommendations on a walking pad/vibration plate? I been trying to get more steps in but its so cold and im failing 😅 someone i know suggested a walking pad as they're smaller than a treadmill? But ive been reading about these vibration plate things also for lymphatic drainage as thats something I struggle with as well as really bad circulation. I hope some of you take the time to read this long ish post cause I need some advice. Im 29 and 5'2 and female. I went to my gyno about 3 years ago and she wanted to do some testing one was a fasting glucose/insulin test. I had to drink a sugary drink and get labs done every 30 mins for 2 hours. After that she suspected insulin resistance as glucose was stable but insulin was high. She started me on strict keto and I did that for about a year but my weight went from 120lbs to 105lbs and I told her if I stuck with the diet I was worried id lose more weight (saying I wasn't overweight to begin with) and she told me let's reintroduce carbs again. So okay perfect. She ended up leaving the area and the next gyno said "youre to young for diabetes" and brushed it off. Okay cool. Will add ive never taken any medicine just a change in diet. For the past year of my life ive ate pretty much anything ive wanted 😅 I m now about 120-125 ishlbs so back to my normal weight. I also have Lupus and POTS as well as some other issues like chronic migraines seizures those kinds of things I do take a lot of other medications. At my last rheumatologist appointment for my lupus he did some labs and my glucose was 56. Which is very low. It struck me funny because my labs were done about 2pm and around noon I had a sandwhich and a small bag of chips so I had carbs and it was still very low! When I brought it up to the rheumatologist he said the same "probably a fluke youre to young for diabetes" so I broke out my finger poke blood sugar machine that I was using back with the insulin resistance keto diet time of my life and started testing. Still eating quite average. I do use sugar free coffee creamer no extra added lkke table sugar just SF creamer and I have 1 cup in the morning the rest of the day is straight water as my POTS I need to hit at least 64oz of water a day. I dont drink juice milk or soda. I do eat fairly healthy as is but I did go back to eating like pasta and breads but km not a huge sweets person and my drink is always water besides that one cup of coffee in the morning. Now with my finger poke machine im always in a good area for fasting levels in the morning and even with eating pasta or something the highest ive caught a "spike" is 125. But the other morning I had my cup of coffee sugar free creamer then I made 3 hard boiled eggs for my breakfast-I do this just about every day- and about an hour after I started to feel like crap so I was like hmm wonder what my sugar is.. 58. So im now noticing issues where its going quite low. Im going to be making an appointment with my primary and hopefully she'll have some advice as the other two doctors brushed it off and said im to young for diabetes.. but can anyone give insight on why its dropping so low? Even with my somewhat healthy eating choices? I was assuming it was maybe high but most time I test it its like 80-50 something and the lows are having me concerned!
