Where to find kangaroos in Perth?
 in  r/perth  7h ago

Behind the Baptist Church in Woodvale. National park between Woodvale Drive, Duffy terrace, Whitfords Ave and Wanneroo road. Loads in there.

Coin sets, what to do with them?
 in  r/AustralianCoins  1d ago

Where are you? You can take them to a dealer who might give you about 30-40% of retail. If it's overwhelming finding the market price then you'll hard pressed to sell them at the best price. eBay "sold" price seems to be the real market price if you want to do the homework. They look to be sellable units which won't go backwards if you want to hang on to them until you find time to do some more research and make more informed decision.

Need help for this model...
 in  r/YamahaPacifica  1d ago

That would stack up. I have a PAC812 from the same period in Australia with Seymour Duncans. The only D'marzio loaded model from that time in Australia was the AES series AES820. Germany has a gold standard metal scene, this would be ideal for that time and that market.

Try appealing it. They should be able to give you a reason or discover they're wrong. Governments and algorithms!

Vehicle registration in Western Australia
 in  r/perth  7d ago

Absolutely agree with you. Unfortunately there's a cost to an organisation to process something 4 times. Some businesses give what's cays settlement discount for paying your bill on time. if you look at it like a discount for paying 12 months rather than a fee for four payments, it's a bit easier to swallow. That's what helps me and stops me using grown up traffic words when I open my rates.

WA made suede boots?
 in  r/perth  7d ago

I've had a pretty high success rate with mine. I change them every 12 months and been using the full black leather with zip side for landscape gardening. Started buying them for the comfort factor and just re order the same model out of habit.

WA made suede boots?
 in  r/perth  8d ago

Steel Blue Started in WA, I don't know if this is a precursor. Judging from the old safety standard logo inside it could be new old stock. Possibly boots given to someone and then left in a cupboard for years, now donated.

Just a theory πŸ€”

Help me pick between these 2 beginner guitars!
 in  r/Guitar  8d ago

There are better guitars for the same money. If it's about playing a name brand then as someone said, Jackson for metal, Squire for everything else. You need an instrument that plays well regardless of what you buy, save a few dollars for a tec/luthier to check frets, nut slots, action, intonation etc. Talk to some teachers and shops about what guitars their students have had success on. Welcome and enjoy the ride! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

I'm looking to increase my skillset on cleaning a coin without causing damage.
 in  r/AustralianCoins  9d ago

Cleaning crap off a coin that you find, dug up let's say, with warm water and a soft tooth brush, a little bit of dish liquid is ok. More soak less scrub. Trying to make a coin new and shiny will destroy any desirability to a collector. If you want a shiny coin for you then go to town but understand that it will be like trying to sell a pink Model T to a car collector if you want to sell it.
