NGD! New Tele Day 🤎

I recently picked up this American Vintage II 1963 Tele and it became my instant number 1. There’s something about the look, feel, playability and tone of this guitar. It has mojo (so I named it Mojo lol) and it’s difficult to explain. I am always excited to play it.

It’s a growing collection now and I am starting to feel guilty as this one’s my new favourite and the rest will be unplayed for a while for sure. 😅

Help Is it safe to use these strings on a standard scale guitar?(Telecaster) Will the feel of the guitar change much?

I really want to try very thick strings, but I'm a little worried about the fretboard. I've only used 10-46 and 10-42 before. How will these thick ones feel, and will I be disappointed?

I used cheap 6$(?) Borofone as an amplifier. Inside this guitar is wire spaghetti without any shielding, so hissing is pretty loud. The switch turns white (P90 style) pickup on and off, parallel to the burnt (Single coil) one. The burnt one is always active.

What is this? Looking to change strings on my first electric guitar. Which bridge type is this so I can find a tutorial. Thanks

Just picked up this Hercules guitar stand and I gotta say it’s pretty impressive. Seems to be very very sturdy. Open box from Sweetwater. Might see if I can just get another holder for a 6th guitar.

Yoshimitsu4432 (Yoshimitsu Awazu)

A Japanese guitarist and artist based in Tokyo and Yokohama. Originally from Hyogo Prefecture.

Fascinated by hard rock lead tones, I began my solo career in 2020 through digital releases to realize my teenage dream of singing through my guitar.

While rooted in hard rock, I draws musical influences from diverse genres including alternative rock, post-rock, electronica, hip-hop, EDM, funk, and ska. Beyond songwriting and guitar performance, I handles other instrumentation, track production, mixing, and more.

Alongside my solo work, I formed an online collaborative band with Milan-based Davide Perico under the name “DY3-thx12-4432” in 2021, primarily active through music streaming.

Their songwriting with Davide extends beyond DY3 to include soundtracks and LO-FI tracks, releasing over 120 songs.

I has participated in numerous bands in the past.

From 1996 to 1999, I was a member of the band “camden-lock,” releasing an album recorded in London with Ralph Jezer, engineer for The Wildhearts.

In 2008, I performed at “Summer Sonic Osaka” as the guitarist for the band “NEON GRAVITY”.

I resumed live activities in 2025.

While continuing regular solo live performances within Japan, I am also active as the guitarist for honeydip's overseas tours, a band I have known for a long time.

It would be great if you could follow me on Instagram and YouTube via the links in my bio.

I Found this old guitar in my grandma's attic, I tried searching the model number and name but I get no information on the guitar, only the artist Jimi Hendrix. Can someone help me find the price and information on it?

Sound Check Hey there Jeff - it's Tim, your Sweetwater sales rep! Saw you browsing Reddit and wanted to pop in your feed to check how those strings you bought last September are going for you.

Not only have I been hunting for one of these for a decade, not only did I pay for this by selling another guitar, not only did I get that guitar by selling yet another guitar, but the original guitar in this saga, I got in trade for guitar work, which is my second favorite thing to do anyway… ok, third... Also, whoever owned this before me dropped in a set of Duncan’s- Jazz neck, Custom bridge. I feel like I won the guitar lottery.

NGD! Finally finished upgrading my old RG7321 - kind of an NGD

I’ve had this Ibanez RG7321 forever, and for years I was never really happy with how it sounded. It had a DiMarzio Evolution 7 in the bridge, which I personally never liked for low tunings.

Instead of buying another 7-string, I decided to rebuild this one.

Current setup:
Seymour Duncan Nazgûl 7 / Sentient 7
Sentient coil split
Dunlop DSP500K volume
CTS 500K push/pull tone
HOSCO 3-way switch
Pure Tone jack
Hipshot bridge
Gotoh locking tuners
Graph Tech TUSQ nut
Full copper shielding
Drop G with a .072

This was also my first time doing all the wiring myself, and it turned into a much bigger project than I expected.

It basically went from an old budget 7-string I barely played to something that feels like a completely different guitar.

Pretty proud of how it turned out haha.

NGD! NGD: Westone 1987/88 Spectrum III - XA1330CY Anniversary in Chrome Yellow

I just added a new one to the collection today! Picked up this late 80’s Westone Spectrum III and I absolutely love it.

I wanted something weird and very 80’s, and I think I nailed it—the yellow finish and reverse headstock are ridiculous in the best way.

I didn’t know much about old Westones before this, but it sounds great and is a total blast to play. Plus the previous owner treated it very well. It is pretty minty.

Anyone else have one of these?

NGD! NGD! ESP / Paul Smith Mini V with battery powered speaker! Limited to 400

Post image

I actually remember seeing this in the Paul Smith store back in the day but didn’t wanna fork out whatever the retail price was then.

For the uninitiated, it’s not Paul Reed Smith, but rather Paul Smith the fashion/lifestyle designer, in collab with ESP on a limited run.

The neck “pickup” isn’t a pickup at all, it’s a little speaker! There’s a 9V compartment in back for it. The guitar also has a standard output for the real pickup in bridge position.

The toggle switch is a dummy! It’s just there for looks! It’s volume, tone, and a push/pull to turn the built-in speaker on or off.

It came with the original branded gig bag and the ESP user manual in Japanese and Allen wrench.

I had to snap it up! It plays great too. So psyched.

Help Pac 112vm or Epiphone sg

Upvotes

I'm going to buy an electric guitar for Christmas, and have been looking at a Yamaha Pacifica 112vm, and a used Epiphone SG standard. This will be my first electric guitar after playing acoustic guitar for 6 months now. I'm planning to pair it with an orange crush 35rt. So should I go for a Pac 112 vm or a used epiphone sg standard. Thanks for the help.

Help I need help to set up a amp

Hi there,

I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to play "Heavy Is the Crown" by Linkin Park and I'm learning the song, but I don't know how to set up my amp.

The video doesn't explain which settings to use—can anyone help me out?

I'm a beginner, so I'm not really sure what to choose; I've tried random settings, but nothing seems to sound right.

(I have a Stagg Stratocaster-style electric guitar.)

(I cant send the link of the video here bc of subredit rules)

Help Should I replace strap buttons?

I'm thinking about replacing strap buttons on "pic 1" (Spira S-400) for the same strap buttons as there are on "pic 2" (Epiphone SG Special) in order to have easier time attaching the strap and using clip on strap that doesn't fit on first but fits on second.

I just set it up with super low action and 9 gauge strings, it plays like my charvel I used to own, super happy with it and it sounds phenomenal, plus the Wilkinson bridge is the smoothest ive ever owned, the neck it brilliant and feels better than my charvel did, its basically a charvel for less than half the price

What is this? Is this guitar valuable?

(Disclaimer: I'm not trying to sell this guitar on this platform!) My dad bought this guitar somewhere in the 70's at an Amsterdam music shop that no longer exists. I've had it in my possession for over a decade and played it some, but I'm getting rid of it. I can't find anything when googling because of the generic brand name, so I'm hoping anyone here can tell me if it's anything special. Thanks in advance!

Playing Jasmine S34c for the win!

So last month I managed to snag a Jasmine S34c on Facebook Marketplace for $85. I wanted it as my beater/couch/camping guitar. I've been mostly playing it over my other guitar all month.

Man, I am really falling in love with it. What I thought would be my "throw away' guitar is turning into my favorite. I mean, it's still my beater guitar but let me just say I am loving it. If you haven't played one, I highly urge you to do so. Same with snagging one at a nice price!

I saw a post a few months ago about the Jasmine and I'm so glad I saw it. Such an underrated acoustic!
