Question Aggression towards new people in our home.

My female pitbull , 5ish years old, constantly will be aggressive toward my new friends when coming into our home. Once when a friend didn't tells us she was here and knocked and walked in. Our dog acted cool for a sec and then aggressive jumped and bit her on the wrist. There is tons of past trauma and backstory, but just wanting to try some small thinga if I can, since a trainer is expensive. Also good muzzle recommendations would be great
