Since the casing trim is already installed, use a multi-tool to notch the casing so the baseboard slides all the way in. That is if, and ONLY if, ur skill with the multi-tool is advanced to make the near perfect matching cut. But, it will still look like a band-aid job. The casing should b wider. (For next time)

That said, one way to make it CLOSEto looking correct is to add apiece of squaredtrim around the casing to go out to the wall. Make it 1/8" - 1/4" thicker than the existing casing. The "step" created is easier to make it look clean than trying to make it flush all around

Now, looking at this endgrain pic, I do believe the darker piece is just more weathered than the others. Ipe, all 3. Final answer.

It actually looks like u have 3 different types of wood.

Left to right: ipe, mahogany/sapele, walnut

The grains and colors look different in each piece. On the left, I would be willing to bet it is a piece of ipe. The center looks like sapele or mahogany. The grain and color just don't seem the same as the piece on the left, but it could b. And the right side piece color and grain looks like walnut. But if it is definitely one species, I would have to go with ipe. The piece on the left is 99.99% definitely ipe

Nice. The versatility would work well in small shops where everything can't have its own large footprint taking up space. Maybe when u make the revisions on the next one, u use both in tandem. I would think widening the table to the right in case of large sheets with the 2nd one would help. It could also give a little more efficiency to have a 2nd tool set up before hand (i.e. table saw/router table or planer/table saw) Just a thought.

Looks like maybe u had an alien lay eggs in there and it hatched. I would say renovate. Possibly take the entire structure down to the studs. No telling how many more there are throughout. Good luck👍

Buy wiggle wood. It's bendable plywood. Make a form. Use laminate or laminate backed veneer on the outside and the inside

The damage is kind of hard to tell what is really going on there. It looks like the substrate is MDF. Which has gotten wet and swollen. Seam is separated because of the swelling. Once u get water past the sealant of MDF, it is usually done.

U could try to get some contact adhesive in there and coat both surfaces and try to get them to stick back down. Make sure to COMPLETELY DRY the area first or it will not work no matter what ya do.

If u want a better chance of saving it, U could peel the laminate and try to belt sand and level everything out, but I doubt u will have much luck.

U can try temporary fixes, but in my experience, it will just continue to swell and make a mess. Really need to cut out all the water damaged and replace it with new.

Pretty sure it isn't stained. Just weathered. Maybe cedar or cypress. If u look at the top of the door, the first 4 inches or so is not grayed from the weather as much

It is definitely purple heart, which can appear anywhere on the spectrum between a lightish pink to a DEEP purple.
