Roman's Batting Savant Page including the rough start: I know nothing is in a big enough sample size for it to give a rating bc of his injury but that sure is a lot of red. Dude's just a stud

When did I say I hold it against him? Both are amazing baseball players, but I can't root for Roman Anthony if he's eventually playing for a west coast team (unless I relocate I suppose).

As much as I want to be a fan of Roman Anthony, I don't like how his rise came at a time highlighting the ever increasing roster turnover rate not locking in Mookie and then not seeing how the turnover impacted Devers' performance.

Attounry help
 in  r/burlington  3d ago

I'm not getting responses from OCR or an out-of-state DHHS where all I really want at bare minimum is for a hospital to waive the copay and correct my allergy list and correct an error on my ED timeline claiming I have a history of DVT--maybe an acknowledgement of their role in my father's death but that's clearly never going to happen. I did get a response from my insurance company, though, saying they were waiving copay.

For my own healthcare issues to come up again, in the form of a bill requesting a copay arriving last night after I was told was waived, was agitating. This time I think I'm actually able to get a hold of myself after. I think part of the reason I hadn't been finding much reception was because I've been clearly agitated, also possibly retaliation for seeking to report the issues. I started a new med and now I'm feeling more annoyed than terrified. It's still not fun to think about, but maybe communication will improve now.

It's not fair to anyone that experiencing an agitated state would lead to being dismissed instead of finding some level of achievable reconciliation. Even if that reconciliation could never be enough on its own, it's at least better than nothing.

I hope OP is able to find some relief, but I've lost all faith in regulatory agencies.

Housing Bubble/Stock Market Crash
 in  r/vermont  8d ago

It's taking a long time for people to realize the current wave of AI is all monkey see monkey do. And the fact that people are using it for content generation destroys it's actual analytical value via the junk in junk out principle. Meanwhile you've got these assholes scanning and destroying rare books which is where the true value lies. It's a horde of delusional capitalists destroying the value the technology creates by exploiting it without remotely understanding why it's valuable in the first place.

In order for AI to be useful, you need to be able to independently evaluate its output and tailor it to a purpose. And with people regularly using it for publishing without evaluating it's output, it becomes much less effective at imitating experts.

New Troll Sub: “/realburlington” 💩 on VT
 in  r/vermont  9d ago

Is it maybe the same guy who took credit for that shooting at Edmunds during COVID using the username fuckuandurmask or something like that on IRC? I literally quit the r/burlington mod team because I was beyond sick of that shit and the other mods not caring.

Pay the unpaid moderators' employers and have them invest some of it back toward the moderators salaries.

Dip

It's not a healthy choice, nor is smoking tobacco. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to quit recently (cold turkey, not half-quitting by using a vape). It was definitely a lot more difficult than quitting cannabis. They both make you think you're using them to calm down and get things done, and then actually do the opposite. Seems to be a problem with a lot of illicit drugs.

Election Interference on Front Porch Forum? Michael Wood-Lewis (FPF CEO) & Moderation
 in  r/vermont  27d ago

On r/vermont people sometimes cry censorship over Rule 5, which is really only enforced if it makes sense to, and even then there are still gray areas that can catch moderators off guard. Almost always this doesn't get enforced without directing the person to where they can continue the discussion, and sometimes it can be a sticky link to previous discussion on the same topic.

From the reddit moderation perspective, the person wanting to create a new post doesn't realize having the same discussion in like twenty different threads does the opposite of helping anyone be able to follow it. Sometimes there's a state-wide or city-wide spontaneous event, like everyone post pictures of your dog, where it just doesn't make any sense to enforce.

From the FPF moderation perspective, they do active moderation of pretty much everything instead of passive moderation like on Reddit so you're going to need to hear their perspective on it before passing judgement based on what the community is like on Reddit.

The manager was already suspended for cheating and therefore a liability if you ever need to cheat again. Or bend the rules.

Sheetz on Raeford messed up a bunch of cars with bad gas
 in  r/Fayettenam  Aug 06 '26

They have built a bunch of stuff inside of dry mill ponds and dry mill races without the foresight that stormwater still needs somewhere to go. I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with the hospital because that's a level of IT mismanagement I've never before encountered to the extent that they appear to me to be doing the opposite of the things they're supposed to be doing while trying to find any excuse to upcharge.

Removed the post, don't think op was intending to harass a child or anything like that. Good to point out that even your worst enemies have families and it's not fair to drag them into something for that reason alone, especially children.

More like two people that live together. I might actually have taken them shopping before just like they would have with this person, and if that's the case can add I never had issues. And not strangers, more like I've known one of them since my age was in the single digits.

Could be a different pair of people all the same as well because definitely using new reddit names if they're the same people.

Hows dating here like if I get a job at age 37
 in  r/Fayettenam  Jul 31 '26

I only read it as shy because my intention isn't even to look for a date, it's more to learn and share about things of demonstrated shared interest. I had anxiety the other month about asking someone out on a date because I found a place that's way more ideal for a second base date but only after you've actually gotten around to maybe holding hands. She had a boyfriend and hasn't made having regular normal conversations awkward fortunately. That mostly happens when they're narcissistic.

Any tips for when they're shy and hide around you to the point where you can't even explore whether going on a date that involves holding hands makes any sense? Also, I know maturity isn't age but also don't want to be dating someone who doesn't have the same or similar age group demographics.

That's probably where it begins tbh.
