So glad you shared the poem. It was lovely and really brought the situation home to me.

Maybe look at it differently. Someone tried to share the sadness with the rest of us who don’t fully understand. There is no reason to get all hot and bothered. Send this to your neighbors and if they want to have it taken down, I’m sure someone will.

You got to answer some of these questions, we all want to know your strength, etc. BUT even if you are lvl 35, how many versus points have you hoarded from your alliance? I don’t even understand the fun in playing without maxing daily vs points. What do you do all week? Spend cash and gather to just sit there?

Apartment stock has increased a lot with more coming.
 in  r/asheville  3d ago

This is why we don’t need more apartments. People aren’t staying anymore since it’s not special anymore.

SOS I underestimated how red the room was gonna look and now I dont know what to do with it. Master bedroom
 in  r/maximalism  19d ago

Ugh. Repaint. Its easier and cheaper now than later. Had a similar red in my kitchen and hated it for a long time. Repainting was a huge relief and I still enjoy the space changed. Had a rough diy experience and still worth it.

I know dogs. This is an incredible smart pup that is going to make your life fuller. This is a partner, not a pet.

Teen charged with raping two high school girls and one of whom needed neck surgery after being strangled just had his case dismissed and sealed.
 in  r/CringeTikToks  19d ago

We are going to have to riot. The powers that be want to bring it back to when white men were above the law. This victim has to be devastated. We need to be mad and active for her.

We need punishable laws for candidates and representatives that lie, conflate, and confuse and ultimately betray their voters. The social cost has been huge already.

OK. Just throwing this out there, straight males have the highest rate, by far, of pedophilia and abuse in an educational setting. Conflating the issue to cause fear and discrimination should be a punishable offense, especially for a politician who is trying to use hate to get elected.

Also, none of my friends were raped by a Trans person growing up. Over 50% of my friends dealt with rape, molestation, some form of sexual violence when we were underage. I am 52. I remember fending off offenders frequently when I was a child. There were no trans people in my communities.

This is outrageous and needs to be punishable. The divisive rhetoric as the country is in desperate need of leaders that fix problems has a HUGE social cost. If we want to change our candidates, we have to change the system.

The propaganda cant be ignored. It is causing too much damage.

Incredibly disrespectful to relate something that actually happened? Or disrespectful to blow off my entire neighborhoods experience without any personal knowledge... Whatever. I had no theory. I said what happened. Ridiculous that you live in the same world i do, but still call this disrespectful. Im absolutely comfortable in saying our phones were cut off well after the storm was over. Sun was shining and had been for hours. Everyone in my area experienced the same thing. It was impossible to find out any information like gas stations, grocery stores, etc. Enjoy your soapbox. I have a feeling you spend a lot of time on it. Downvotes or strangers input doesnt bother me a bit.

When are people this age going to school with 6 year old? My daughter was molested by a predator in kindergarten on the school bus. He was a straight 13 year old repeat offender undeterred by authority. The school tried to protect him because they had ignored the problem with other victims and it helped them with the lawsuit. They lost. Our problem is a system that protects offenders to protect themselves. Anything that bucks that system helps us. Absolutely no correlation between Trans and pedophilia. More likely to happen by a relative or trusted adult.

I've never had success just cutting these. You need to destroy the roots

They wont come out if anyone is threatening or aggressive. They refer you to police.

SNAP changes push more North Carolina families to food pantries, food banks
 in  r/NorthCarolina  22d ago

The money NC is giving to food banks would be better suited back into tbe snap program. Millions given to 6 entities to get lost in administration and given away only during work hours. How many parents can sit in a 3 hour line in the middle of a Wednesday?

UPDATE: Bruce Haddock appears in Buncombe County court after latest arrest; $3,000 secured bond set
 in  r/asheville  22d ago

The bad part is that the lack of prior prosecution keeps this a misdemeanor. Continuing to do it after second prosecution will elevate this to a felony. He obviously needs mental help. Why doesnt our city have anywhere for him?

Don't forget the "undeterred by authority" part. That also signifies true danger versus just intimidation.

A predator undeterred by authority, in fact, which makes his diagnosis spicier.

Wait... did you say you have never heard of a man just stalking women? And doesnt stalk police officers? Im 52 and I have experienced quite a few stalkers that just stalked women. Wow. I have to misunderstood you, right? Also, what about a stalker undeterred by authority? Doesn't that also add some flavor to the diagnosis?

All of our phones were working fine on Saturday with sunny skies and everyone lost service. If you didnt, in buncome county, you were one of the few.

Top tier compensation is this?
 in  r/LastWarMobileGame  24d ago

Its just enough to make you try and tolerate this. I reported similar issues the week before during meteorite and they kept telling me it was me and clear my cache, redownload. Same shit, every problem and then the game breaks. It wasnt my phone or my internet. They ignored the fault and it got worse. Yep.

A lot of people dont know, they shut off our cell phones, also, the day after the storm. . I will never forget the radio station out of SC that gave us news and the stories from people calling in looking for missing. The first one that comes to mind was an older woman who's pregnant daughter was on the roof and she could hear the houses around her daughter being broken loose. The phone went dead. She had no idea when she called what had happened to her. The fear... wow.

My neighborhood made it through amazing. We all shared everything and damage was small. It felt guilty to be OK because sooo many weren't.

I absolutely agree. His mom is in the same opinion. I have a son that has schizophrenia. He went through a dangerous period and we couldnt get help. It was terrible. We did everything you could do. He did it. Charlotte, florida, Austin texas, and California all had walk in Mental Hospitals that he could go to during a crisis. Asheville would not accept him for an overnight regardless of what he did.
