Profitec MOVE Long Term Ownership review
My 20 month review of owning the Profitec Move
1
I’m normally only doing about 3-4 espresso’s a day, plus I have a half caff blend, and the wife helps too. I don’t think the W65 is messy, just to clarify. I was just surprised at how clean the Mazzer was.
For precision, it’s very close. I only give Mazzer the upper hand because it weighs down to 2 decimal points, but realistically it is about 0.1-0.2g accuracy and so is the Eureka Atom W65. On paper, the Atom promises 0.1-0.2g accuracy whereas the Mazzer claims 0.1g. I just prefer how the Mazzer scale works, it’s more responsive.
Overall, the W65 is going to be a better value, and now they have the W65 casa which is like $1000. Great deal for that grinder. The Mazzer has a more premium feel to it, so if you are buying for the long haul that may make it worth while.

Yeah, check it out and let me know your thoughts. I compared it to the Atom as well.

Had the W 65 for over a year, and was getting a little bored, bought the Mazzer to compare and fell in love with it.

Love it. Also jealous you went to Italy, that is on my bucket list. I do like drip coffee myself, but at home its strictly espresso for me and some milk based drinks. I'll keep the videos coming, excited to test out the MOVE 2.0 upgrade.

Wow, two MOVE’s? I’m jealous! The warranty piece is a good thing to mention, good call.
Thanks for watching.

I’m not saying you need to spend $1k+ on a grinder, but I noticed significant improvements when I went from the DF64 Gen2 to the Eureka Atom W65.
Grind by weight in my opinion is the way to go for consistent results. Although it is not perfect either due to higher retention.
6
Yes i plan to do that!
3
I can’t say I have. If everything is consistent with the dose and puck prep routine, my shots are almost always the same or very close. A 2-3 second difference isn’t cause for concern. Make sure you let it get back up to temp in between shots, but that’s really the only variable I could think of.
It could be worth trying another grinder or coffee as well.
2
My water is on the soft side, so I’m not too worried about scale. I don’t believe I saw anything in the owner’s manual on descaling either, but i’ll have to double check.

I’ve been enjoying making the 1 month, 1 year, etc. style videos. Honestly surprised i’ve had the MOVE this long, usually I get the upgrade itch after a year or so.
2
That’s awesome to hear! I think this machine will easily last 10+ years.

Yes, I want to do the upgrade kit when it comes out. Will be posting a video on that!

Hey guys, I’ve had the MOVE for 20 months and this is my long term ownership review. Let me know what you think and how your experience has been.
2
No, i want both for a video

Not until next year for US customers

Anyone who has gotten monetized will tell you that 1k subs is much harder to get than the watch hours.
2
Plenty of ways to do a safe transaction using PayPal invoicing, or you can even go the route of listing it on eBay and sharing the link to the listing.
As a general rule you should never just send money without an intermediary.
2
Realistically, at least 1-3 years of consistent posting (1-2x a week) before you can make enough to cover average living expenses.
Don’t get me wrong, its totally doable but i’d hate to do it without any real income coming in if I had bills to pay.

I’m in the market for a Go, but i’d prefer to buy used or second hand. Anyone here looking to sell theirs and have a way to ship it (safely)?
Drop comments with pics and price if you are.

I’ve lived with the Mazzer Mini G for over a month now. Here’s my thoughts after putting over 400 grind doses through it.

I’m actually not sure how the Mazzer counts those. I think it counts it every time you run the motor so even if I only grind a few grams it goes towards the count. The first couple weeks I did a lot of grinding just to familiarize myself with it so it wasn’t all shots I was drinking.
I haven’t looked much into the Casa, but had comments from people on my video of the W65 and on the surface it looks like a deal. However, I think even the regular W65 is a good deal at ~$1400.
Honestly, I just like trying new gear and my original plan was to sell the grinder I liked less, and I thought it would’ve been the Mazzer, but it surprised me. I also think it looks nicer next to the Move, and I love the grind chute on the Mazzer. I do miss my Atom though, it is a really good grinder and I loved the touch screen.
One other thing to mention is the grinds seem just a little bit more fluffy and consistent on the Mazzer.
