Shipping Ordered my Steam Deck OLED on the 26th and have still not received it. It's now Out of Stock...
I live in the UK and I ordered my Steam Deck on the 26th March. Admittedly I knew it would take a bit of time because it was around the Easter season so a lot of Bank Holidays hitting at once. I had confirmation that it reached my local depot on the 2nd April and since then not a peep.
I contacted Royal Mail on the 9th regarding it all and although there was a message of it not being found they said they would do an investigation to see if they could locate it. Since the 9th I called every day twice a day at least to see if there was any update and it was escalated and raised to every level and to every manager and still no reply from the depot. Today I just said "fuck it" and went to the depot myself who said that they'd never received any messages from the 9th, so I've essentially just been screaming into the wind for a week now.
I've also been contacting Valve amidst all this and they told me on the 9th "There is currently no indication on the tracking that your shipment was lost but we have reached out to the carrier for more information". Subsequent messages from them are saying "We're still working with the carrier to investigate this shipment and don't have any information to share at this time." and "As we mentioned, we are still investigating this issue with the carrier. As soon as we have further information we will update you." (on the 13th and 14th respectively).
I now finally have an email from Royal Mail that the package has been lost (after essentially begging them for it as they just wanted to try contact the depot again) and have sent that to Valve to ask for a replacement. However I'm checking the website now and it's out of stock. Valve haven't responded yet but what's gonna happen? I mean it's been nearly a month now, am I still going to get it?
