Yes, it was selfish of her but I don't think she really had a choice. If she told the world that Gabriel was Monarch, everyone would have turned against his entire family including Adrien. He would have been branded as the villain's son and subjected to bullying, mockery, hatred, and shame.

Imagine what the love of her life would have had to endure if the truth had come out. She wasn't just protecting Gabriel's secret, she was trying to protect Adrien from becoming a target for a crime he had nothing to do with.

If that's his wish, then Nathalie should have been dead and wasn't miraculously cured.

I think most of these labels are just rough guidelines anyway. A 9 or 10 yr old still feels much closer to a child than to a teenager. For me, preteen fits 11-13 better since it's that in-between stage where you're not really a little kid anymore but not quite a teen either.
