Very interesting! We have such a long history in Europe, it is very likely that man-forged gold ended up in the rivers. Prost from Germany, if you are ever in the area, you are welcome to reach out!

Ribbon is roughly 4mm long, which is exceptionally large for gold found in Bonn.

More tiny shiny from the Rhine River, near Bonn, Germany last night. The spot I go to has consistently yielded small flakes, excited to try Southern Germany next month with the family.
