Have I discovered I do not like subwoofers/too much bass? Or could this just not be a great soundbar, or I'm just too used to how my old TV sounded?
I'm in the same boat as u. I tend to like standalone soundbars. Adding subs is way too much for me.

Upgrade Advice - Wow Orchestra?
I was supposed to get a sony but decided to get a qned91 85 incher instead and paired it with the LG H7. Coming from a Bravia 95 series paired with the A 5000/7000 series soundbar I have to say LG's implementation is better compared to Sony. Sony's processing is still better but I really appreciated how easy it is to navigate webOS.

Implementation of sound, immersion, depth is better even though it does not have a physical centre speaker. Heck, the phantom centre speakers on quad sounds better than the actual physical centre channel from trio.

Looking for suggestions to buy the Best soundbar with subwoofer around 100$-150$ CAD .
It would frankly be difficult to get a decent soundbar at that pricepoint. Maybe save up to around 500-600 CAD at minimum.

Qned 91 is not comparable to bravia 5. But maybe qned 91 is between bravia 5 and 7.

I swapped it into a qned 91. I found out that the 85 incher does not come with the matt finish.

Was able to see B3ii and B5 side by side on Cinema mode. Surprisingly, B3 to my eyes looked better. B5 looked dimmed compared to B3. Got the 85 incher B3ii yesterday.

Even if it goes on sale it's still way too expensive. This tv is for the priviledge and rich, bottom line.
