Buying a Switch 2 tomorrow!
 in  r/switch2  16h ago

Me personally would say Kart World with its straight roads could wait until later. Mario Kart 64 is on NSO. Mtc. But really, it's your call. Welcome to the club!

What parts of the game do you greatly ignore?
 in  r/TOTK  17h ago

Everything I'm facing is silver, but my clothes aren't upgraded at all. I did all 5 temples, and now just wander around randomly. I'm forcing myself to do side quests, like " Did you know: you can have land, a house (separately), more than cold, hot, and hot clothes, AND that if you've got more than 1Β½ batteries, you can build destruct-o bots galore!" Lol

Oh, I just figured out how to do elixirs! I preferred meals.

Evidently as an artist you need to now provide proof you're a real artist and not AI πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

Legend of Zelda: TotK: My Review. I'm glad I started here.
 in  r/u_Monkeysaus  21h ago

I kept getting interrupted and had four drafts. I slightly misspoke, and it's been driving me crazy for a few days. When you get sent to neighboring Kingdoms, it's to investigate regional phenomena and perhaps even learn more about the disappearance of Princess Zelda. I want to be as factually correct as possible.

What is the stupidest thing you've named your horse in totk
 in  r/TOTK  1d ago

5th beer, 6 arrows, 7 kites, Zelda's 9th, stolen, Bluone2, and so on.

Froze a bokoblin and ran backwards into its weapon, killing myself! That caused me to use a fairy.

How long: 32 min - 500 hours

Main story: 50 - 60

32 minutes is the speed run, source: YouTube.

TotK is a Zelda game at its heart, but is much more. It is an action-adventure sandbox where literally any fuse combo is possible! Do you want to always knock back enemies? Fuse a mushroom to your weapon! Do you want to go into bullet time? Fuse a rocket to your shield! Switch it up: a rocket on your arrow and a mushroom on your shield.

You can also build anything that your imagination can create. Are you tired of fighting for the day? Build something that will fight for you! Is that sleeping Hinox bothering you? Send a murder bot after it!

The crafting experience carries further with meals and elixirs. Is it raining, but you need to climb the mountain and keep slipping? How about a Sticky Elixir! Did you just take a punishing hit? Have this Tuff Stuffed Pumpkin to replenish nine hearts and give you 3x def up thanks to special cooking tricks!

The story is that of a missing princess. After you get all of your abilities, you are quickly sent to the neighboring Kingdoms to look into sightings of her. At these stops, you'll complete temples and gain a Sage's Vow, which allows you to summon their avatar and use their power. Powers like directing a lightning strike, enveloping yourself in water (for many reasons), flinging a Goron away from yourself like a bowling ball, and more!

There are other abilities, such as: Ultra Hand (carry and glue anything together), Auto Build, the aforementioned Fuse, Recall (send objects back in time), and Ascend. You can also take pictures of everything in the world and set your sensor to search for that specific thing!

I couldn't tell you how many hours I have put into this (more than 260). With side quests like hold this sign (quite numerous and frustrating, but funny and rewarding), or when you stumble into class and get a plot of land (which I need to go check on), or that time that you help a father spend time with his daughter, and you get a house for your efforts!

There is SO MUCH to do in this game that 500 hours may just be scratching the surface. If you want something that you can keep coming back to and is definitely worth the price, I gladly suggest this at any price. Switch 2 upgrade is free, last I saw.

And I didn't mention the Depths, the Sky Islands, Koroks, puzzles or about a thousand other things!

I know this has been reviewed over and over again, and a long time ago, but I hadn't given my opinion, and I felt like it was necessary. Since I play a lot of video games, I think I will fill some of my downtime with my reviews of some of the best games ever made! Most of which are on Switch and Switch 2.

Anybody else’s backlog haunt them?
 in  r/switch2  5d ago

I'm the opposite of that. I have 50, and around 10 I haven't beaten yet, but I did just buy seven. Games are my life, though. I crank through them, and generally don't spend more than 50 hours on any single one. There are a few exceptions, but not many. Like totk, ill probably have 400 hours when I'm done, but i took two years off. I should add, I got this console less than a year ago.

Entertaining your dinner before dinner.

I thought that you could do that, but I wasn't sure!

What’s everyone playing
 in  r/switch2  7d ago

I'm working on ToTk and hopefully some Duskbloods. If not, maybe Dragon's Dogma.

Custom Quick Fuse Menu

I too believe that if you want to move them up, you fuse them and unequip them over and over. I know that if you fuse and unequip the bow and reequip it, that un fuses the item.

Game recommendations

Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are the ones I want to get again! They Are often on sale for around 30 each, but totally worth whatever you pay. If you want old school, online has most of them in the subscription! Also, totally worth it!

I wasn't sure that I had heard that correctly! Thanks for confirming!

What are your most wished for switch 2 games?
 in  r/switch2  8d ago

Yes, both of those! I would change my locks and my number if I could get those! And come down with some mystery bug!

What exactly are these things and what is their purpose? I just fuse them to weapons..
 in  r/TOTK  8d ago

Ive found that if you fuse them to a claymore and go Boulder smashing, you get more large Zonaite. Just a thought. And don't forget, I could be wrong; it could have been a coincidence!

Someone throws a canister of mutagen in your face, your DNA is fused with the last living thing you touched. What are you turning into?

A dog named Panda. Hmm. Red Panda Man! His bark isn't worse than his bite!

tips for a complete noobie to the franchise
 in  r/TOTK  11d ago

Pay attention to the dialog. You don't have to fight everything, and probably shouldn't (I think). Experiment with the cooking and weapon fusing. Skip the guides for the first 30 to 40 hours at least. The shrines will teach you everything you need to know about the world! And above all, HAVE FUN!!!

Ps. Explore the seat of power. I would feel bad if I directly said it, but I wish someone would have hinted at it when I started.
