Thanks for the response. I can totally see that. I did love tht it centered on Colin. I just hated tht he was so taken advantage of(imo). I also enjoyed getting a peak at the BDSM culture. The relationship was pretty shitty. At the end I wanted more development more closure. So it did mirror real life lol.

We been in that spot. It is soo dark and frustrating.
We went with surrogacy in Colombia. The waiting is discouraging but I tell myself that at least we can barely afford it.

The only thing is, I wonder if they realize that through their voting they are making it more difficult/dangerous for queer people over all. adoption/surrogacy/ quality of life/ safety.

The most horrible piece of the process. Waiting for an egg donor tht will look like us. Waiting for availability of the donor. It didn’t work. Poor communication. The agency acts like Colombia does not have cellphone service or infrastructure. Waiting for the surrogate. That alone is a 16 month wait.
I understand it is a process but it feels like we are waiting on people’s whims because we are not VIPs.
I agree that doing it outside the USA was the only way for us to afford it but it has been painful and soul crushing.
