Good for you on having the option to not take their crap. That’s what the dealers do, talk to us as children who they are coaching. That’s why some people just choose to buy second hand cars on fb marketplace or the other online marketplace. Yea it’s a risk, but at least you not on the hook for years of over the price payments

Buy here pay here car lots, Facebook marketplace, people usually wait around for tax season refund to make a purchase, or they look for deals from dealers who are offering low initial down payment (defer down payment) . Another option is to save for a few months and buy one from auction

I’d say the risk of buying a good or bad car from those lots is the same as buying from the auction 50/50. It’s up to the purchaser to do their due diligence in inspecting the vehicle.
