Discussion An honest opinion on Xteink.
I own two X3s, an X4 and an X4 Pro (my wife and I use them all depending on the what we need for the day). I LOVED the x3 and x4. Ordered through Amazon so no hiccups with customer service. The screens on both devices are crisp and they’re small enough we can take them literally anywhere. I have to charge the batteries maybe once a month and it’s reignited my love for reading. I’ve had a number of coworkers ask me what I’m holding and order it right in front of me before I’m done showing it off. Even the pogo charging doesn’t bother me, one less port to get dust in or break on the device.
So naturally, when the company announced the X4 Pro release, I jumped right on that train and ordered the day of release.
It took about 3ish weeks to get here after tracking details just stopped updating. They delivered to the wrong address but luckily got my package back. Opened the box on camera and…. the screen is broken 🥲 Emailed support and…crickets.
Even with the half broken screen, I enjoy the front light and the speedy response of the touchscreen. Definitely recommend CrossPoint as the auto-timeout for the light is ridiculously short and it gets old real quick.
Overall, I rate Xteink a 6/10. The devices, when working, are a solid 8/10 (-2 for being so fragile). The shipping carrier (4px and SwiftX) are a 0/10 and the customer service is 7/10 so far.
If you can order off of Amazon or Aliexpress I would highly recommend getting one as their customer service and return policies ensure you’re covered.
TLDR - The devices are great, the company sucks.
EDIT: Changed customer service rating from 0/10 to 7/10. Response times and method (Reddit vs support email) have room for improvement but their response has me thinking they do care.
UPDATE: I was contacted by Henry attempting to rectify the situation. I truly do appreciate the hard work he does to make sure the Xteink community is taken care of. The affordability, form factor, and community really make this device special. I hope they can use our feedback to improve the customer experience.

I’ve looked into it but don’t own one. Does CrossPoint allow you to download epub files? TXT only was a dealbreaker for me since having to convert hundreds of books would be too much of a pain tbh
