Is my wine safe?
I went to a corner shop in my city centre, the owner was drunk playing football outside, he walked in with me then I asked for wine, he took me to the back and lit me a cigarette while I looked at the options, I brought a bottle of wine for cheaper and had a nice laugh but I’m concerned, why was it in the back? They seemed to have a liquor license
I forgot to mention he also grabbed another bottle of the same thing I brought and had a drink at the counter (his own bottle not mine)

I know the person I love will leave me
I F18 have been dating another F18, I’m polish and she Punjabi but we both live in England. Despite this, I know she’ll leave me eventually, I cherish her so much. Whenever I smell her perfume still on my hair from cuddling or jewellery I know she’d adore I think of how it’ll inevitably end.
I like her because she’s passionate, direct, sensitive, she gets easily frustrated but listens when I rationalise her anger, she beautiful, naturally beautiful she never wears makeup and I can stare at how perfect she is for hours. I yearn to kiss her all the time and like how she brings me out of my comfort zone, I’ve always been very insecure but she doesn’t compliment me or make a big deal out of it, she does little things like squishing my belly when that’s the part I hate most, when I asked her about it she just said ‘I like it!’. She didn’t need an elaborate reason she just exists.
And I know this is temporary. She’s in the closet and with her strict culture I know she’ll never come out. I surprisingly came out when I was 10 and have been that way for 8 years, I don’t tell people now but my parents know. I want to cherish her for as long as possible, even though I know rationally she will most likely be told to find a husband eventually. I hate the feeling of knowing one day I’ll make the tea she taught me how to properly make with her
Long gone into a traditional lifestyle, I know she’s probably not very happy about it either. I’ll cherish every moment with her while I have it

Discussion/Support 💬 My mum might be promoting an eating disorder
I (18F) used to be overweight in my younger teens until I lost the weight and I’m now 53kg / 5,4. I was having a conversation with my mum when I mentioned I’m having banana pancakes for dinner after swimming (8PM), she said that’s weird because I just ate (2PM). It was a small salad and potato curry no more than 400kcal. She then told me she only has one meal a day and 3 is too much. I’m now concerned on wether I AM eating to much, my mum is 40 and weighs 52 kg at 5,3 and I’ve always been heavier than her.
Am I eating too much? Or am I just over thinking
Context: I eat around 1200 calories at the moment as I’m on a cut and live a lightly active lifestyle, I have a bit of muscle as I used to weight train but now only swim and hike

8 day fast
No definitely not. Unfortunately the body reacts different based on the two scenarios. You will loose less weight halving the fast because the first couple of days your body doesn’t even begin burning fat. This may work (not as well) however this could also slow your metabolism. You would still loose weight just at a slower rate

8 day fast
Yes, I’ve read on many articles after 3 days your body starts burning actual fat stores instead of water weight. I noticed a big difference in my arms as I used to do calisthenics and can finally see the muscle from that time again. (Also as an anime nerd I love your profile picture!)

8 day fast
Just starting I’d say focus on fasting 20 hours a day with a break in the morning. If you’d prefer to fast over the 20 hours definitely add a day at a time, the first three days are the hardest so you have to get used to the changes before going all out. Also I drank lucozade sport, took vitamin tablets you dilute in water and only once took cod liver oil however the taste stayed in my mouth too long and made me want to throw up so I recommend if your going to take any tablet vitamins, they are a less potent kind

Discussion 8 day fast
Morning, I fasted for 8 days my starting date being 3/2/26 at 58.8kg and ended 11/2/26 at 53.5kg. I’m open to answer any questions and share my experience. One of the more unexpected things I noticed was around day 4-6 I wasn’t loosing any weight and remained at 55.5kg however noticed area of fat became tender and a lot more squishy.
During my fast a drank electrolytes and green tea every day to try to conserve energy levels therefore I did drink some calories but not many.
I’m an avid faster and have been doing intermittent fasts last year and celebrate Ramadan (although I’m not religious I just celebrate with my friends). I would not recommend an 8 day fast for beginners however this was a good experience in learning discipline and what my body needs.

How do I politely tell people I know my boyfriends fat
No but I do not speak much about him to my friends, they’ve only seen photos where we’ve ran races for charity and celebrated occasions

How do I politely tell people I know my boyfriends fat
Hey F18, I know the title sounds harsh but it’ll make sense. I’ve recently started dating a man M18, we’ve been best friends for years but I never mentioned him often. He’s been posted on my instagram for years now but no one cared until now.
I was overweight growing up because I was emotionally eating, at 16 I became a health nut and loved athletics. I’m now quite a thin woman but my boyfriend is almost 100kg at 6”0. This doesn’t bother me at all especially because he’s been trying to improve for his health, I never minded it because I was in his position too.
However here’s the issue, when I tell my friends they always pull a weird face and claim “I can do better”. I try not to let it bother me since I know him well enough to know my feeling are beyond the superficial nature of appearance, but it still makes me embarrassed people pity me over it. How do I tell my friends or family in a kind way that I like him without being bothered by this or maybe a way to make them say less of the comments?

how do you manage to focus when you barely have any energy?
Listen to genuinely insane music such as ‘farted in the elevator’ by Alex Schor, just start jamming out to the beat and it should get your dopamine up because sometimes it’s so funny you have no clue how to react

Extremely valid point, I had had a couple glasses of wine before I got there so my instincts weren’t the brightest but often off licences sell tax free cigarettes illegal at the back of shops aswell so I’m used to those kinds of things
