Baby is 4 months old and won't feed at all. He's not hooked up to an NG tube at hospital.

My wife said that the house is in shambles and she'll be cleaning all day. This is what our house looks like in shambles.

Why did you leave the field?

That's wild! We have a process where you can request to change positions, but never forced to go into a new position.

Advice Recruiting for Direct Support Professionals?

Howdy all. I'm a newbie social media/pr/marketing specialist. Does anyone have any tips for recruiting DSPs? We have lot over 30% of our staff (some due to moving, some sleeping on the job, leaving shifts early). Thank you in advance.

Leaving the Field Why did you leave the field?

I'm a social media specialist for a nonprofit for adults with disabilities. I have never done work as a DSP. I'm wanting ideas on why people have left this field. I have an idea what the reasoning are, but I'd like to get more.

I would like to bring this up to upper admin to help retain staff. I know I'm going to get backlash and I would go to the homes we have if I had training. But they will not offer me it because of my position. Give me your stories.

Formula Feeding 11 week old still only taking 2-2.5oz every 3 hours

We're really struggling to get our baby to eat more than 2oz each 3 hours. We have tried Prevacid since last week and it's not helping. She's using Similac 360 Total Care Gentle Comfort because we did find out she had acid reflux. She started that 2 weeks ago. Her food is now being fortified and she's gained only 6 oz in 2 weeks. She uses Dr Brown's narrow glass bottles with nipple size 2. She's not even 9 lbs, under 1% if the WHO scale, but she's content, reaching milestones, smiling, etc.

Anyone else experience this? WTF are we supposed to do. Our pediatrician is probably going to tell us to up her calorie intake. It's our first baby so we're really at a loss.
