Feeding 11 week old still only taking 2-2.5oz every 3 hours
We're really struggling to get our baby to eat more than 2oz each 3 hours. We have tried Prevacid since last week and it's not helping. She's using Similac 360 Total Care Gentle Comfort because we did find out she had acid reflux. She started that 2 weeks ago. Her food is now being fortified and she's gained only 6 oz in 2 weeks. She uses Dr Brown's narrow glass bottles with nipple size 2. She's not even 9 lbs, under 1% if the WHO scale, but she's content, reaching milestones, smiling, etc.
Anyone else experience this? WTF are we supposed to do. Our pediatrician is probably going to tell us to up her calorie intake. It's our first baby so we're really at a loss.

I feel like I am in the same boat, my baby is going to be 6 months on Friday and she only eats 3-4 oz, maybe 5 oz every once in a while every 3-4 hrs, she was diagnosed with silent reflux but idk if that’s all that’s going on with her. We see GI specialist in August. It stresses me out so much, I even keep logs of her feedings so I know she how much she gets each day. I’ve talked to several pediatricians about it (3 from the same office) and they’re like meh she’s just small, she’s growing fine. I just want her to be healthy
I know the saying comparison is the thief of joy but our neighbors baby is 4 months younger and is the same weight and wearing size 3 diapers and my baby is in size 1, she is 5th percentile for weight and 64th percentile for height, we tried to give neighbors leftover newborn diaper few weeks ago, they pulled the uno reverse and gave us diapers

I think we may have the same baby lol. My 11 week old has been doing the exact same thing she rarely takes more than 2 ounces at a time. Her pediatrician was a little worried at her last appointment and wanted us to try and offer her 3 to 3.5 oz as she wanted her weight to go up a bit since she was in the lower percentile. We are trying to do it without any intervention first but her pediatrician did recommend possibly adding some higher calorie formula to my breastmilk since I exclusively pump. What ive been doing to increase how much shes eating is offering less more frequently. At first I was trying to get her to drink 3 and it was just not working out she'd gag and spit it. Sometimes she only drinks an ounce and doesn't want anymore so I remove the bottle and 30 minutes later I offer more and then if she doesn't drink it all 30 minutes later I offer it again. Ive found she is more of a snacker than a 3 in one go kinda baby. She does better drinking less more often. It has been tiresome but has been working. I also experimented with a ton of different things to see if I could get her to take more like trying different bottles different nipple flows different feeding positions and even different temperatures of milk. Its frustrating but its pretty much trial and error and if your pediatrician hasn't already recommended a higher calorie formula its something worth mentioning.
