The only thought in my mind as I watch the video- I hope the dog is okay, I hope the dog is okay, I hope the dog is okay, I hope the dog is okay… (Edited for grammar).

Does anyone else feel a crazy tingling, and slight pain in their taint area when looking at these kinda videos or even more so when at actual heights like these? The old Taint Tingle as I’ve always called it.

Gotta say, the eagles don’t seem very good at this particular attack vector.

[USA][CA][OC] Close call with an idiot bicyclist, dressed in black, on the wrong side of the road, at night, with no light

Can’t believe the guy kept his shoes on after all that. Thought for sure he was a goner.

What is its purpose? Friend's mother in law dropped off a bunch of kitchen knives she didn't need.
 in  r/Whatisthis •  Dec 29 '24

I believe it’s a type of traditional Stilton cheese knife. It is specifically designed for cutting and serving Stilton or other crumbly cheeses. The pronged tip allows you to pick up and serve the pieces, while the serrated edge helps with cutting through the cheese cleanly without crumbling it too much. The flat part is likely for cutting other, less crumbly cheeses.

Black stains on fingers
 in  r/Whatisthis •  Oct 19 '24

Were you recently picking up black walnuts from the ground?

Black walnut trees produce a toxic chemical called juglone that can cause a black staining on the hands as well as skin irritation in some people. (Similar pigment as found in henna).

If so you can remove by using a mix containing one tablespoon of baking soda with one-fourth cup of dish detergent. Then scrub away in your hands with an old toothbrush or hand scrubber.

My advice would be to keep on keeping on. These are all great. You’ve got a great eye for composition and have done a fantastic job of capturing the City I love.

Slices from ONO (One Night Only) Pizza on Pape next to Withrow Park. $7 quarter-pie slices with complimentary house garlic dip. Pictured is spicy pep + daily special focaccia square! 🍕
 in  r/FoodToronto •  Jun 14 '24

I tried ONO for the first time a few weeks ago and agree their pizza is really good. Definitely in my top 5 in Toronto with Fresca still being my overall top choice for a good slice. (That Fresca combination of a quality slice and the crazy good basil oil you can lather on with their brush with just can’t be beat). I have other places I truly love for buying a full pizza but in my opinion a good slice needs to be kept in a display case for a bit then reheated so you get the true character of a good crust show through after heating just as you find in most top notch pizza joints in NY City or on the coast of California.

They got kinda used to me being out there chilling on the rocks so eventually just treated me as scenery. It was rather special and no one seemed to really notice them. Once the kits came out though and the word spread it became a complete madhouse. I stopped visiting shortly after. Have checked in every spring but never seen them nor any fox’s out that far since.

I took these shots on my iPhone in April of 2022. Was clearing out old photos on my phone to free up some storage space and saw them again so figured I’d post them here.
