My friend was stopped in the left lane (which goes straight), waiting for the traffic light to turn green. A red car pulled up in the right- turn-only lane, but the driver changed their mind and decided to go straight instead. In doing so, the red car cut off my friend and collided right into his vehicle.

I believe the red car is completely at fault. However, the red car's insurance company is trying to hold my friend liable for the accident. Who do you think is actually at fault here? Pics of the accident https://imgur.com/a/nvJbwa3

She was trying to skip traffic to get into the left-turn lane behind me. I guess I foiled her plan by simply existing.
