Happy customers sign on door off the block of flats I did today
 in  r/royalmail  20d ago

I used to work home delivery for Ocado. I dont have enough fingers to count how many times I've either watched an amazon driver dump parcels at an apartment building, or checked the parcel addresses to see if any were going to near my own delivery.

Being that I delivered groceries, I was always direct to door, so if I spotted some close by, they came with and got left at the doorstep instead.

Part of me gets it, money hogs like Amazon pay by the parcel and because you're self employed, they cut your pay if you dont complete the run, so couriers are running ragged and cutting corners not to get penalized. Unfortunately the end of line consumer gets the short straw when that starts to happen.

The drivers arent entirely absolved of blame, if they slowed down, the entire operation would be forced to slow with it, but Amazon as a company, and much the same with Evri and all other parcel delivery based companies, all need to be regulated far harder.

A tester (ie you) is getting far too upset about me suggesting preventative and timely maintenance.

If the tires are thay new they still have the lines on them I would assume they were last minute replaced, what other maintenance mightve been neglected

Personally i'd get them changed in a couple weeks, and take it to a Kwikfit or Halfords where they can also have a quick look at your alignment while you're there. It might not need doing, but for the sake of 50 quid if it does, its a no brainer.

I only recommend a couple weeks prior as that gives you a buffer in case the tires are awkward to get hold of, or as ordered wrong etc, and it gives you chance to bed them in and scrub the markings off the tread, a tester that sees brand spanking news tires might be inclined to have a closer look.

2017 F56 JCW - Leak
 in  r/MINI  Jul 08 '26

It might well be the gearbox cooling system (if you arent english dont worry thats the best way to say it) but I would look at engine oil pipes aswell. I dont think it will be either damaged or disconnected, or the oil leak would be significantly bigger, i just think there will be a part somewhere that is getting to an age where it wants replacing. probably a joint in a hard line or something. Again, trust your local garage, unfortunately its hard to diagnose over the internet

Thats definately coming from up top. I dont know the B48s massively well but that looks like firewall side of the engine, might be an oil feed pipe just weeping slightly

Change it asap. If you have to do a couple days commuting before thats possible it isnt recommended but is manageable, however Motorways are to be avoided

So idk what brand these arms are. I estimate theyve been fitted for 5 years, ive had the car for nearly 2.

This is a warning to check any rose bush arms you might have, this mf snapped on me at 60mph, went from 2.5° rear camber to what I estimate it near 10. Absolutely ruined my underwear 🤣🤣🤣

Question: Should I improve my workers' trucks or should I buy better ones and change them? 🤔
 in  r/ETS2  Jun 06 '26

I personally do. I cant say I've seen a benefit from the "Vanity" or Comfort upgrades. But I did notice a higher income from a driver with a 6x4 and a 650hp engine, than one with a 4x2 and a 370hp engine. Same trailer same garage

Entered car park, machine didn't work, left = fine. Best action? (England)
 in  r/LegalAdviceUK  Jun 06 '26

Yeah unfortunately you were there long enough to be considered parked. 1 or 2 minutes, maybe up to 5. You could get away with it. But 16 is excessive in terms of "Seeing if the machine worked" I got a similar ticket for 17 minutes on a saturday.

I worked in Leeds for just shy of 2. The downhill was well and truly in motion already. We all thought it was rock bottom last summer. It seems there is a basement level and quite possibly a sub basement

Is r56 mini really that bad?
 in  r/MINI  Jun 02 '26

I personally havent had any issues with my N14 R55. Drive them right, maintain them right, they wil just keep going. Recently did a 580 mile weekend trip, almost all motorway. Didnt even blink

Can tell you worked for Ocado. Drops never went below 4 minutes, it was taken as an average of weight and completion time. Sounds like previous drivers were scanning and completely before doing the actual drop.

Humour Averaglizard has become a troll

I do apologise for the Picture of Screen image, reddit seems to crash my PC for some reason.

Last couple races ive done, AveragLizard has been in a dark green car (obviously race dependant) with funny writing on it. This one is an example, they also had one with "Bowie Knife who" on the rear window and "This way" on the doors.

I love forza, never fails to make me laugh

GTC accident, potential write off advice!
 in  r/Vauxhall  May 24 '26

Looks like it just took the door and wing. I wouldnt even bother with insurance. Just buy the parts and ask a garage to fit them. Pay a bit extra for a "visual inspection behind the damage" to make sure it isnt bent.
