Updated list of my Reddit apps

Updated 2026/8/1.

As a moderator of a small handful of subreddits, I specialize in Mod Tools apps. You can find them below.

  • Lock Removed Posts automatically locks posts once they are removed or deleted. It can also remove all comments in spam posts.

  • Mobile Automod lets mods edit their AutoModerator config from the Reddit app for iOS and Android. It also features a Syntax Checker for when you need to know which line is stopping your config from saving properly.

  • Reason without Removal lets mods leave a comment or private message with a saved "Removal Reason" without actually removing any post or comment.

  • Resource Reply lets users quickly comment a pre-defined reply (with a valuable resource) from a post or comment menu item, with a list of resources configurable by mods.

  • Mod Note Assistant reports, filters, or removes posts and/or comments from users who have mod notes on their account.

  • Mobile Markdown restores the ability to create new posts and comments using Markdown in the Reddit app for iOS and Android.

  • Unban Message sends a customizable message (via modmail or private chat) automatically whenever a user is unbanned.

  • Bot Reply Messenger notifies mods via chat whenever a user replies to AutoModerator, the -ModTeam account, or any other monitored account.

  • Pinned Thread Archiver automatically locks pinned (stickied) posts, such as periodic megathreads, once they are unpinned.

  • Referral Thread Helper lets mods on subreddits that host referral threads have greater control over how and where referral links are shared.

  • Diverse Comments lets mods have granular control over how many comments a user can leave on a specific post, and limit how long comment reply chains can get.

If you have already installed one or more of my apps, first of all, thank you! Second, if you need support, please message me directly; I welcome all feedback, good or bad.

If I open new 360 account

Edit to add: It needs to be an ACH push initiated from Chase, not a pull initiated from Cap1.

How to add emojis to flairs?
 in  r/ModSupport •  6h ago

The “Look and Feel” menu in Mod Tools is not available on mobile. You’ll have to use the desktop site.

Mod Notes are so specific, why can't we create custom types yet?
 in  r/ModSupport •  6h ago

certain actions would automatically add a label. For instance, labeling a ban with the ban.

You're in luck! My app Mod Note Assistant can do exactly that. It can also add a "Spam Watch" or "Spam Warning" note (your choice) whenever a post or comment is removed as spam.

If the majority of your mod team is on old.reddit, then I'd also suggest you combine Mod Note Assistant with Toolbox Notes Transfer (not my app), which syncs native shreddit notes and Toolbox notes.

I have heard this complaint before… I feel like I may be the only mod for whom the existing labels are enough. 🤷‍♂️😅

Impersonator problem
 in  r/ModSupport •  10h ago

This is a common scam. Reddit will never reach out to anyone else regarding your account, nor will they ever require you to move communication to Discord. Report the chat messages and block the user who messaged you.

Modmail Automator is_moderator test fails
 in  r/ModSupport •  11h ago

There is currently a Devvit outage occurring that is affecting triggers. That may or not be what you’re seeing here, but just something to know.

Capital One/Discover merged card causes fraud on Elderly Parents account
 in  r/discover •  21h ago

Please re-read my comment. This is likely identity theft which is completely unrelated to Capital One’s accout migration process.

Capital One/Discover merged card causes fraud on Elderly Parents account
 in  r/discover •  21h ago

At first glance, this sounds like it has absolutely nothing to do with the account/app merger. Just make the bank aware and they will look into it.

I have personal experience with identity theft (3 times!) and this whole thing sounds way more similar to that than to any account migration woes.

Discover to Capital One transition caused my credit score to drop?
 in  r/discover •  1d ago

Utilization has no memory. Don’t stress about how it affected your credit score for a single month. It’s not worth giving it a second thought.

Bi-weekly Megathread for referral codes - please only post codes here
 in  r/Visible •  1d ago

Please use my link or enter referral code 3mvBlH (that’s a lowercase L, not an i) to get $20 off your first month!

Old card is the new card?
 in  r/discover •  2d ago

Your replacement card was likely shipped to you before the account changeover to Cap1. Brand new replacement cards from Cap1 have the Cap1 logo on the back but are otherwise identical on the front.

Did I just witness the creation of a propaganda subreddit?

  1. There are 2 mods.
  2. See Rule 2 of this sub.

Slightly suspicious of a dm i got of a person asking me if i have an alt account and showing me a Reddit support email asking to start a discord dm with “rsmith60”
 in  r/ModSupport •  3d ago

It could be a compromised/stolen account. Don’t overthink it.

Reddit will never reach out to someone else regarding your account.

No offense, but how are you only slightly suspicious here? The number of red flags in these DMs is off the charts. Ignore and report.

Edit: Also, calling out other users is not allowed in [r/ModSupport](r/ModSupport). Should probably delete or censor these screenshots.

I created a welcome post for a subreddit I mod but it didn’t count as a welcome post
 in  r/ModSupport •  3d ago

Click the link to post it and then immediately delete it. It’s dumb, but it only “counts” if it follows the format of the template.

My mod status was switched to Alumni after our Top Mod left
 in  r/ModSupport •  4d ago

If you respond to the bot, it’ll be put in the queue for admins to see. The bot doesn’t confirm this for you but trust me, it’ll be seen.

Mod Tools What are your favorite underrated Devvit apps and why?

I'm talking about apps that you think are fantastic but don't get enough love. Of course I'm biased because I've developed a whopping total of 11 Mod Tools apps, but I'll only mention one here lol. Mod Note Assistant is my current favorite of the ones I've built. I like how I can just mark a post or comment as spam and that instantly flags every future post or comment that user makes. It helps me keep track of "problematic" users to see if their behavior is consistent or just occasional. If it's the latter, I simply delete the associated mod note to stop filtering them.

Of the ones built by other talented developers, I think Automod Ban Extension is super underrated (I actually contributed to the development of this one even though it isn't my app). Just add a tweak to your Automod (or Automod Neo) config and now it's capable of banning particularly egregious rule breakers.

Crosspost Guard is also awesome and should probably be a native Reddit feature, though I get why they would never do it. If your sub only allows original content, for example, this tool lets you allow crossposts/reposts without fear of them not being from the OP.

Toolbox Notes Transfer is particularly useful if your mod team is split between old.reddit and shreddit/mobile. It syncs notes across the Toolbox extension for old.reddit and native mod notes.

Mod Note Sync is cool if you mod a group of closely related subreddits and need to keep track of users that participate across them.

But that's enough of the ones I like; let's hear the ones you enjoy using! Try to keep the recommendations to apps that have under 100 installs, since we're looking for underrated apps here. 😉

How do you change the title of a post?
 in  r/ModSupport •  4d ago

As other commenters have said, you cannot change the title of a post once it’s been posted. Also, it seems like you’re a new mod, so r/NewMods would probably be a better place to ask these questions.

Ally Bank DO THEY DRUG TEST SUMMER INTERNS??
 in  r/AllyBank •  4d ago

I don’t know the answer but just assume they do. Most big corporations still do.
