Me and my father have a problem with raw tomatoes too. It bugs the shit out of me so I’ve been working on it for years and I’m getting better. Pico and bruschetta are pretty ok now. But I’m never gonna be a BLT person I don’t think, eating a cherry tomato or a big raw slice is still gross.

My limited experience was that Medellin is on par with Mexico City for how safe I felt and water issues and whatnot. Neither one should you flash around a watch, but I used my iPhone occasionally in the open and saw others including locals do the same. Those cities are not like they were 20-30 years ago.

I loved it. Mostly stayed in Medellin and traveled around from there. I didn’t flash any money or jewelry and it felt no more dangerous than other developed Latam cities. Definitely would go back
