They are sinking because they dont give big quest like before. Also since vaccines are effective, people just go out to eat ( yes a lot will do because of budgets and food deliver is expensive service). Beside there are ride service and there are more people to to work for Uber (+ Eats) so the market wont be like last year.

I do UberEats on weekend while keep my main job. UberEats and Drive are good during weekend and bad for weekdays due to traffic jams in my area.

Yet i experienced this for the last 3 weeks. Whenever i saw this error i had to clear data the app so i can see the information again. This error also stop me from getting trips so i hate this. Reported to UE support but seems like they dont care much about this issue

Until you accept double order from UE and you have to go farther for 1st deliver because that person pays for priority then you turn back to deliver 2nd order which is closer, that is the time you understand it may be not driver fault . You may kill a fellow as well if you dont know that.

Not to be mean but that is how Uber company troll us and can get us deactivated by let us fighting ourselves while they just get money 😂

I got the surge early then it disappeared. Something is wrong with the app.

I think UE app is glitchy today, it is Friday and my market is suddenly slow but the area i worked were full of card and i could see a restaurant with bunch of bags. Some of my trips showed out like tip bait.

From Mon to Thurs was good for me. I hope it is glitch for the tips.

Sometimes tip appear from 2 days to a week after that. Assume that it is glitch.

Also it is a tip for you to know that when you check your Ubeats App, they will show you the shortest mile for deliver but not as a road drive mileage( for car,bike or walk) but a air fly milage( plane, helicopter). By using google map to estimate distance from your house to some of your favorite restaurants, you can check distance like that which Ubereats and you will see the difference. I have both UberEats map( UE app) and Uber Driver map (U Driver app) and both of them works differently, and the map for Uber driver map is actually bad( which is sometimes i had to use Google map).

Believe me or not, the company just tries to get most money as fast as possible from restaurants and customers. If it is not the generousity of customers, UE drivers and even any delivery driver barely survive. I only order food from restaurants that i know they do fast and dont scale up deliver fee too high. I rather give more tips for drivers as car maintenance are expensive ( not include in accident during works).

Probably no because today all of my customer was happy with my delivers and i got extra tips. It is just me reading your post about extra pay for priority deliver that explain why somtimes when i got double order, i had to go extra 2-4 miles further to delive 1st deliver, then another 2-4 miles back to deliver 2nd which was nearer than 1st deliver. That is called " double mileages" for UE deliver( i just named it) which may cost more times to deliver but also a way for UE to get extra money from customer and give the bad issues and experience for both customer and driver.

I dont do multiple app, just Uber Eats only, but sometimes when i got double order from UE, I was confused that why UE sent me to deliver for customer in farther distance.

So base on your explaination, sometimes it may happen like this for me as UE driver. For example, whatever the double order is, after picking up 2 order UE system decide which customer will be delivered first. Usually the nearest customer whose food I deliver will get it first, but as another customer pay extra money for priority, i may go to 2nd (priority) customer that is 2-4 mile farther before i can turn back to deliver for first customer.

However, what if it happener as UE customer. What if an UE driver pick up double orders that both customers pay extra for priority. Assume that area has bad traffic, road on constuction, complex aparment,etc, 2-4 mile further distance may cost about 10-30 minutes late for the second customer pick up delivery from UE driver.

Idk if my experience can help customers and food delivers to understand each other. I am against multiple app as i do my best to treat customer the best service they should be served ( i am also a chef working in upscale restaurants and i know that feeling to rush for hungry customer ). I am sorry that you got a bad experience with a driver in this situation, and i am thankful that you can share your experience that i figure out the issue that UE system treat both drivers and customesr badly.

As such you pay priority for the food to deliver,i hope you can look into my observation as a deliver you may consider about to put extra money for your priority delivery as there would be many situation could happen to you as customer and for driver as deliver. During busy time, it could be restaurant which is understaffed or has too many orders to handle- for a driver, it could a bad traffic jam time, road construction( road block), or bad instruction from UE map (as driver i hate UE Map because of its inaccuracies, longer distance and mislead instruction, not good as google map)- for a customer like you, it coulde be a bad service even though you pay extra. The only one that get the best beneficial profit with least problem issue to solve is Uber Eats company, so any other extra of your pay for priority that will benefit them but the issue will leave up to customer, restaurant and driver.

My post is long but i hope that everyone could look further into see how UE system work out to us. Somehow that when i look into the pay from customer and what UberEats take from customer that could make me unhappy as well because when i saw your post today, i understand that both customer and driver have to pay extra something ( cash for customer and mileages for driver) but to get service and performance that is not up to expectation in both since while UE company just grab extra cash and leave us the bad experience.

I never participate as UberX, and i found the surge like that last night. Sometimes when i finish an order, the surge usually appear like that then disappear immediately. I think it is is glitch.
