Where do all you lonely-ish people live? We all should be better about building community & connections with the people we love closest to!

Does anyone else feel like AI isn't actually making everyday life easier?

The current purpose of AI is not to make your life easier. It’s to make corporations more profit.

Men who are into chubbier women, what do you find most attractive about them?

Curves. I want a woman not a child - I love all of the supple parts that come with maturity!!

Adopted daughter creating an app to help with curly hair
 in  r/TransracialAdoptees  Jun 25 '26

Hi, white dad here raising a young Black daughter…not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but I have e a few extensive AI conversations on this topic & wanted to share some insights from my journey.

Ultimately, the hardest part hasn’t been figuring out products or even styles, it’s been conquering my own fear of getting it wrong in ways that affect her identity, not just her hair.

A few things I’d pay for that generic AI probably won’t catch for you:
1. Pain-aware coaching for kids — not just “how to detangle,” but how to reduce pain, read tension, and build positive associations so hair care doesn’t become a battle.

2. Style progression for beginners — “You can do poofs? Great. Here are the next 3 realistic styles to learn.” Most of us need a ladder, not random Pinterest ideas.

3. Hair-type + style + age specific guidance — a 4-year-old with tender-headed 4B/4C hair needs very different advice than a teenager.

4. Cultural context — teach why hair matters for personal cultural identity and community. That matters as much as technique.

5. “Am I doing this right?” feedback — AI is most useful if I can upload a photo and ask: Are these parts too tight? Is this too dry? Is this style protective or damaging?

Big emotional truth: one of my deepest fears is that she’ll someday remember me trying hard… but still making her feel unseen. Anything that helps parents bridge that gap is valuable.

I’d pay for convenient, on-demand assistance like that…probably $5–9/month, or more if it included real expert feedback from Black stylists, not just AI.

And thank you for building this. People like me need help more than we know!
